I haven’t been playing level three Allies much for quite some time, since I always seem to draw level five Japanese, however the last couple days I have played twelve games with them, surprisingly winning ten, and miraculously have played the Japs twice with zero level five.
I finally got to try out the Secret Army squad, and although I am mostly an SMG man, but I really like the semi auto rifle they have. I had changed them from Ammo pack to secondary weapons so I could arm them with SMG’s, but the Meunier A6 Semi auto was so smooth I never used the SMG’s. The only drawback was it seems to take a long time to reload. I love the M1907 Winchester, but I found my new second favorite level three semi auto. 
Maybe I will consider switching them back to ammo pouches.

They’re awesome.
But, can guerrillas use backpacks? I thought they could only use the two-weapon option, like the Radiomen.

They have an ammo backpack in addition to the second weapon slot.

No I just checked, they have both the 2nd weapon and the ammo pouch, but you cannot switch the additional ammo for a different backpack

You’re right, I had not played with them and assumed I had changed their ammo pouch statis. I am so used to buying premium squads for the squad and having to change the ammo pouches to get them to use the weapons I want. Either way, I do like the squad. 
In those twelve games, I only used them in two, mostly since BR3 Allies I like using the BAR A2, so I have three BAR squads and one Colt Monitor I mostly use, along with one M1 Garand sniper and the Secret Army, but for the most part only use the BAR squads. My APC you can’t see at the bottom uses three WAR’s, which is essentially another BAR.
