Russian paratroopers can swap out their equipment to qualify for BR1 matchmaking.The paratrooper box allows the russian paratroopers to consistently use BR3 weapons in BR1.
This is a major balance issue and allows veteran russian players to bypass the BR mechanic to dominate games with new players.
As you can see here, in BR1 the premium russian paratroopers have easy access to DP-27s, panzerfaust 60s, SVT-38 snipers etc etc.
They need to have a minimum BR imposed on them of at least BR2.
It is absurd that the motorcycles and unarmored APCs are BR2 while the paratroopers have no such restriction.
I don’t know about “instead”, thats a totally separate idea. Equipment changing or no, no paratroopers should be BR1 with the current paratrooper box mechanics.
The problem is how you restrict them to BR2. Maybe include the plane they spawn in (which could even potentially be customized in the future) which you could then assign a BR to put a minimum BR on the squad.
I heavily requested this feature for months, just for the first paratroopers we get after the Russians to lack this feature…
Makes no sense, faster to develop(no need to model new unique weaponry), and highly desired, it would sell fantastically, or be a massive drive for an event! yet no… so stupid
It was even worse when they released and you could have used BRV equipment at BR 1-2. Still very imbalanced squad that is able to choose it’s own weaponds and blast low BR tanks with a panzerfaust 60 .

The grenade launcher has a malicious bug that hasn’t been adjusted for nearly a year.
And the positioning of weapons is also different
They are not capable of suppressing the enemy at close range (they will be blown up by themselves)

To some extent most level 2 submachine guns are probably better than level 3
