yesterday evening I was practicing the landing of the aircraft in the training section, I noticed that the time to turn off the engine and consequently ensure that the plane stops is excessively long as is the time for it to take off, it would be nice if we worked on a shortening and simplification of this maneuver so as to allow the pilot to land and repair the plane with a wrench, as is done with a tank, it would be a shame not to use this practice since it is possible to do so. and I don’t think all players know that it is possible to land unharmed

Using wheel brakes, flaps and rudder to create drag pulls you up decently

I can do it, I meant that it takes too long to brake and stop and too long to take off, plus think how nice you press f and go out and repair the vehicle

these are crazy details that shouldn’t be underestimated, the reason why I love this game are these details that you can’t find elsewhere, I hadn’t thought about it at the airport, it would be wonderful

It doesn’t actually feel like the game has wheel brakes at all
I’m not even sure there is a keybind for them
then good news!!! today you learn something!!!..not that its that useful…I dick around in planes too much
but Yes…they do work…(Brakes lol)

I did these tutorials almost 2 years ago if anyone finds them helpful ^
Also - if you want a clear runway to have some fun with, my ‘France Urban’ map has the runway clear of debris (eg tyres, boxes). There are a few German planes lined up ready to takeoff, with the lighter planes at the front and heavier (needing more runway to get into the air) at the back.
My Tunisia map also has a cleared runway.
You can also spawn planes on both maps (earlier versions didn’t include plane spawns). Most people are still playing an older version of France Urban - the latest version is 2024 v7.2 NOT v20 (that was from 2023).
Biplanes are by far the easiest planes to takeoff due to their increased lift.
