Airplane control on a games console PS5

A question for the console, Playstation players. What does your aircraft control look like? What settings do you need to pay attention to without losing control while flying?

Thanks for the answer, I read this post hours ago but after changing my settings nothing worked anymore. I reset the standard values for the aircraft control and try again

How can I prevent it from tilting to the right?

It is impossible for me to hit the ground target

it seems like you have joystick drift

here is more about drift problem

OK, but I’m not opening the gamepad now. Is there an app for the console where I can check this more closely?

quick googling says that some games(e.g. warzone) have calibration tools from which you can check and calibrate drift.

btw you may try accessing this page if you can connect your controller to pc(idk if it works on ps5)

also one possible test is to crank your sensitivity all the way up in any game that uses joystick and then see if your screen moves without any input(but it could possibly not work cause games could require minimum movement to actually perform action)

Thank you

You must have done something wrong, if you add me, Widowmakeruk73 in game, get on discord, I’ll happily talk you through.

The freelook and airleron are on same control stick, by default that is what is making you turn as you use freelook, as that is what happened to me.

That is NOT drift, if you want, give me you ign, I’m on most evenings, happily talk you through, I have zero issues flying planes and have had two controllers with drift, but never affects my flying…

I followed the settings tips again. The Yak-1 still tilts to the right, but the Hurricane MK-IIB and the SB-2M behave calmly and fly straight when you let go of the controls. Is there a way to look at these dropped bombs afterwards?

It’s so cooked. I have change my controls so much. You would look at me like I’m crazy but I got full functionality.

Do you have a screenshot of your aircraft controls please?

They are in my Reddit post mate

What does that mean exactly? I’ll look into it

I don’t know what that’s about. Now I’ve researched another plane and on the training ground it immediately pulls to the right. Does anyone have the standard settings for the analog axes (dead zone, tilt angle) or an idea how to fly with the gamepad without losing control. A question for the Playstation players: what experiences have you had?

I told you what is issue, change controls or don’t up to you. The default controls have free look and airlerons on same axis.

I am on PS5, I fly reasonably well, have no issues, with exception of Fw190 on Berlin, which is slight roll due to wind, torque or big???

@WidowMakerUk73

I mostly use the setting you recommended, it’s great and it really makes a difference which plane and whether I’m flying in the training area or on the battlefield. Thanks for the informative video. I found a few sites to look into the stick drift thing, but none of them could confirm it. Yesterday I tried the motion sensor setting where the commander can be controlled using the “target delta” function. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work when flying. I’m going to buy a second controller and see how it behaves with certain planes. Thanks for your answers
