Usually I don’t play Normandy, but accidentally jumped into one game, so I gave it a try.

Map was Airfield… and then I saw it.

Airfield full of Hs 123 … IN NORMANDY … Like WTF DEVS, are you doing it on purpose? Out of all models that you have in game or all of models that you can pull from War Thunder, you opt for plane that was spent in Soviet Union few years before Normandy?!

What is next? Captured American A6M Zeroes for air superiority?! Red Barron flying circus maybe?!

And I feel I am not the only one bothered by these things. Do you have ANYONE that has ENOUGH KNOWLEDGE AND PASSION about the time-period to at least check on the internet if he is not sure about something?!

What, you are afraid that someone will try out BF109 or FW190 before they unlock it? I just cant understand this logic. Just make the planes unusable as they should be. Not every soldier was trained to fly a plane…

WHY SUGGESTION SECTION:
Would you please consider hiring me or anyone else that is qualified as a historical consultant? I will do it for free, no problem … At least we will avoid this kinds of nonsense in the future :man_facepalming:

I know these are harsh words, but each new update is a even bigger mess…

Mah, whole idea is preposterous.

Taking off in middle of battle in WW2 plane… Someone watched to many action or SF movies.

Those planes didn’t have anlaser or however is automatic starter called in English, they had to be hand cranked and prepared for flight…

And what will the bots do if you take off? Run like idiots in the direction of your plane until they get to dark zone and die? :joy: :joy: :joy:

But why do that is what I don’t understand. Is there a reason or is it pure lack of IQ, knowledge and passion. If 109s or 190s were there, no one would complain.

I honestly have no idea. If I were to hazard a guess, then I would say that they’re recycling assets, in combination with a lack of knowledge of their subject matter.

you know what’s more funnier?

the actual controls.

no joking.

in enlisted, you can see that devs didn’t even cared about them. they just thought it was a good idea and that’s all.

anyway, as i was trying to say, enlisted was not designed for taking off with airplanes.
because for some unknown reason, the plane start turning to the left. making impossible to take off.

than the americans players are not dumb, and start shooting the planes.

so the planes behind cannot take off because the " dead " bodies are " real " preventing you from take off.

and lasty, if you managed to survive all that, and managed to take off,

it’s … " hard " to explain but.

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO WITH A HS 123 WHEN YOU ARE FACING P38s, P51s AND MORE MODERN PLANES?.

it doesn’t make sense at all.

like, what’s the point of grabbing those airplanes if you have your own?

looks like devs really just gaved up on certain ideas ._.

Well honestly that airfield is too pristine. In reality any airfield in Normandy at that time would have been bombed into oblivion. The hangers would have been wrecked and the runways full of craters …

There maybe is explanation for this. Propeller rotation will start to pull your plane towards direction of prop rotation. You have to counter it with rudder. But, if instructor is present this should not be the case.
