I see that Aircraft’s have rearview mirrors which are very handy well they would be handy if they worked. They all have correct placements they just dont reflect. It would be really cool to be able to look at the Mirror see a plane on your 6 and pull a maneuver and be behind that plane the battles would be more immense both sides panicing seeing the opposition in the rear view.
It might be an engine limitation, the only mirror I remember seeing really working in this game is the one placed in one hotel room in Burma. But it works really poorly and your character reflects in it only after you push into that mirror as if it would be a portal to Hogwart’s
As I know mirrors and reflections in general are expensive on the hardware, so developer in general tend to use tricks to make them work, or make just some of them work in determined part of the game
Mirror as a picture of you easy
Mirror as a surface featuring and reflective cacthing light that in sync depicts what it sees that’s cutting edge
Mirrors in other ganes work good it shouldn’t be that difficult
Yes but other games have different Engines, Postal 2 had great mirrors years ago while many modern games cant accomplish that still. If anything you can move your head around to look at every side by holding c button
Most games that have mirrors are single player games that don’t have to render large maps all at once and large numbers of AI drones.
Each mirror would in effect be another player/soldier seeing the map area around them taxing the engine.
Enlisted has to run on PS4 and Xbox one and equivalent toaster ovens, add in everything and reflections are an needed drain.
I guess they could work in solo mode but squad is another matter, also you think it’s easy but it’s not, the number of players who would enjoy it compared to resources to implement.
I feel its achievable but i understand its difficult even if it was low resolution it beats not reflecting anything.
