Aircraft carrier spawning = bad

Remove it.

Okay so. I own the P-5 fuel airbomb plane for America. When versiing Japan you gotta take off from the carrier. What do I do? I go to pause menu → kill soldier. I throw away a $75 squad because no I’m not sitting here for 30mins waiting to get to the objective.

This is what Japan suffers from and why you don’t see matches in br3 and above. You’ll do all random for two days and literally get Japan once. Unless br1-2.

The carrier for the sake of immersion doesn’t fit the gameplay loop beyond br1. You see barely any Japan pilots besides the sweats or new players in low BR.

I’ll continue to suicide soldier until spawning on it is removed. Give Japan a chance tbh. They need more air support players.

Did you know that half the Japan planes won’t make it into the air if you don’t touch the controller? Or pull up 2% too much. They are slow eco engines that dump straight into the sea.

Everyone go specific queue Japan and see for yourself. Carrier is cool for like, single player? Technically they are parked too close.

Id say remove carrier spawning from br 3 and above.

Wish most of you would stop asking for gun balancing. Man so many fundamentals still need to be looked at.

if your using low br planes above br 3 you have issues :smiley:

personally i havent bothered having any planes in Japan except for br5.

however i played the campaign and the pacific one was the one that taught you to take off, go get a dauntless and try take off in that, i dont know how many of those i put straight into the drink

Bro I don’t think many people choose Japan or choose flying because more often than not new players straight up crash at the end of the deck or into the super structure and never touch it it again. You see it in kill feeds as a smurf. For br3 and above it’s about winning at that point. Air support is rare besides the jet in br5 I just don’t think people wanna deal with how long it takes to get there. Only a few instances in all modes as America you start on the ship too. Fighter pilot always starts in the air and bomber pilot is 50-50. I understand the fighter/bomber spawning differences.

I’m always thinking of the new players. Please look at this. Perhaps it’s good for another type of marathon game mode. Like 2000 tickets. Basically TIME for it all to make sense. Games are half over by the time you get there via carrier.

ive been telling that gaijin since 2 years. the optimal solution is to remove the carrier spawns but let the carriers themselves stay on the map for flavour & tactical reasons.

Or just give Japan army planes for early BRs so they can pick a plane they like. The US have carrier planes but its not big problem for them since they can just make combination with carrier and non carrier planes Japan has only 1 fighter Zero that is equipped with BR I bombs …

the carrier take off system itself is a dumb feature as its not fun, annoying to use & doesnt bring any logical advantages for all that hassle. its failed game design by definition.

Yeah but they cant remove it but at least give us Ki-43-II,Ki-44-II hei,Ki-61-I otsu,Ki-44-II otsu,Ki-45 otsu or Ki-45 hei this is all early BR planes that wont start on carriers it will take them less effort to make them then removing the carrier system. There is even a non carrier version of the Zero A6M2 mod. 11 that will start in the air.

ofc they can remove the carrier start. the planes will start in the air as on tunisian maps or in custom games. there are no technical issues with that. its gaijin being lazy/incompetent what prevents us from having this improvement.

I personally don’t mind the Aircraft carrier spawning, but what they should do is have the option to not spawn on the Aircraft carrier but have a longer spawn delay compared to using the Aircraft carrier.

This is why the Japanese faction isn’t played as much as others…a thin tech tree, minimal squads so it limits the amout of same BR vehicles in your squad list, weak vehicle selection…and the CRAPPY waste of time and disadvantage of taking of from the carrier!

People have been asking for the Dev’s to remove the carrier takeoffs for as long as I remember, and the requests just kept getting filed in the garbage, so, I don’t ask anymore. I don’t play much lower level with the Japanese or Allies anymore either, so, I guess I stopped worrying about it.

It seems to me that the dev’s are very resistant to change the players want, but they are fine changing shit we don’t ask for. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Please keep the carrier spawns its a throw back to when the game was good and had campaigns.

Makes it nearly impossible to regain air superiority once you’ve lost it. I’ve pointed this out before too. Carrier spawns are extremely frustrating when the enemy planes are already in the air and have a massive advantage with much higher energy capabilities. I would be in favor of just removing them but at least add an option to spawn in the air for people that hate it.

I like carriers.

They’re like home bases.

You can repair your planes to brand new and they offer a 1,5km death zone protective radius.

Flying in maps with carriers is way more tactical and engaging than maps without.

I want airfields in maps as well.
