If we are getting AI tanks, I have some ideas with improving the usefulness of AI Tank Commanders. Specifically letting them “see” threats and targets. With the current marking system we are able to highlight major threats/obstacles, (tanks, at guns, hmg/lmg nests, AA, and some fortifications/engineer structures). If the AI tank commander can “see” these markers (especially enemy tanks and AT guns) and had a “threat priority” list that focuses threats to the tank first, then threats to their buddies outside the tank and so on. It would increase their usefulness to the team. If there is going to be AI tank squads in the future I feel that it would be imperative that they can function in support of their team instead of going “Gung Ho” and being a detriment rather than a help. I feel adding this would a great improvement, as player tankers can see other players threat markers and act accordingly, and the AI can be blinder than a bat on many occasions. So letting them “see” would be a good idea in my book.
