AI Orders and Vehicle Control

Would love to have gear shifts or ability to control speed of vehicle when driving, at present its stop to virtually full pelt. Also when not driving would be nice to be able to instruct driver to move to a positon, speed, ect. The drivers ability’s could be enhanced by training or leveling up.
Again same for gunner would be nice to be able to designate targets, and/or gun direction and ammo and order gunner to engege or have a fire at will command available.

Q and E already address your first point.
The rest I’m all for.

Q and E are the cruise control settings
Q is for going back or stepping down
E has 1 2 and 3
1 being slow 2 being a moderate pace and 3 being full speed

Thanks did not spot that in the tutorial or info.

There is a way to enable manual gear shifting. Take a look at the controls :slight_smile:
Alternatively, “cruise control” exists, which is less accurate, but more convenient overall, which is what @_31420124242011 mentioned here.

Why would you order the AI to drive somewhere or shoot something if you can… just… do it yourself, without risking the AI to fuck up?

Because as with Panzer Elite it allows the commander to concentrate on finding targets instead of driving and if Panzer Elites AI can handle simple movement orders I am sure that Enlisted could.
It would also be nice as a tank commander to designate an initial target for the gunner to engage whilst then being able to scan for additional targets, even being able to stack a couple for the gunner to engage next, again this order could should the situation change be cancelled, using R from the commanders position would also change the ammo type if required.
Drivers and Gunners perhaps could be improved through levelling up or perks and/or Academy Training adding some additional training depth to tank crews.
I’m new to the game so perhaps some of the above is already implemented as with the vehicle Q and E which was pointed out in previous reply.
On a separate matter using C and mouse allows panning from soldier but I can not seem to do the same from vehicle without the main gun turning again a pain if you just want to look around and leave the main armament pointing in area of most risk, again back to designating targets for the gunner whilst commander scans.

I’m currently working on idea basically 1:1 to yours. I was going to post it this evening.

I’m pretty sure PE ignores stuff like tree collisions, or getting stuck on trenches, however. So in Enlisted, you are very likely to get stuck on stuff.

We got some minor perks, mostly related to repairing.

This might actually be a bug, as it works on everything except on tanks rn. Try making a bug report on it.

That’s great to hear, I like the game runs well at high settings no fps drops or stuttering which i get on
" Hell let Loose ". Just hoping they don’t go all Battle Field 5, perhaps tone down the what I consider annoying announcements ( BF5 console type ), just a message alert on the radio to notify on a more realistic tone ( bit of static noise, " enemy forces attacking, occupying, defending, " Obj A, " ect. .
perhaps squad leaders could or radioman send additional messages to thier team mates, such as enemy attacking us at, we need engineers at, ect.
I am assuming voice coms only works between friends in your squads as have not been able to communicate with other players using mic?
Also would be nice if additional orders for squad were available such as formation, line, wedge, diamond, column, AI would then hopefully follow the lead of the player in regards to direction, ect.
