I’d like to have an preset place where AI will go and stay automatically.
The current “defend that point” is pretty much useless since AI seems have ADHD and run around can’t stay fast, then get shot. I can’t count how many time I got irritated when AI refuse to go inside the building and stay in open area to suicide.
Therefore, i shall suggest AI have a preset places like near window, door, corridor, etc when ordered to defend that building. It would make game more immersive.
It’s already in Tunesia campaign.

Works quite good and could be implemented to other campaigns as well even though it needs polishing.

Perhaps this could be practically implemented by an algorithm that studies actual players preferred positions within buildings (or anywhere for that matter).
Do the developers have data for player positions/time-spent-at? I’m sure heat maps could be derived from it and the AI could be programmed to go to the most prominent heat points in the player’s vicinity.
I agree. Any rubble patches, windows, barricades, etc. anything someone can crouch behind and not get shot then de crouch and shoot bots should have a natural tendency to go there. I mean as it is bots run around in the open not doing anything.
