I would love it if you could put AI in an MG in a bunker in Normandy for example but make then have poor accuracy for people are not getting Head shot by an MG 400 yards away. I also would like if when you told an AI to enter an AT and AA gun they would actually fire at the enemy instead of just looking around.

Interesting idea.
But before that, I would make the hull mg of tanks functional. Could be AI controlled… or not. But it would be nice having access to it.
This, and of course tail gunners for some planes, but those are planned already.
