I know it’s not just me. The AI are dirt stupid. They don’t need better aim, they just need some survivability. Like they don’t run away or duck behind cover when grenades or bombs are dropped. They sit in the corner like idiots waiting to be shot instead of pursuing the enemy in the objective. But worst of all they don’t switch weapons, throw grenades, or even try to melee! I’m using my anti-tank squad who for some reason pull out their AT rifles to shoot humans with and miss every shot, they’ll die right afterward because they’re slowly reloading. They couldn’t just use their standard rifle or they’re pistol. Using engineers I finish building and then switch to another soldier and I see the engineer still running around with a hammer, he doesn’t build mind you because he’s AI.
Point is some things I suggested like grenade only add to the explosion spam problem but making them switch to the right weapons should be bottom line right?

I agree on the survivability and weapon choise.
But grenades are a big no no as 1) grenade spam 2) AI wasting grenades.

correct. I never understood why they switch to the AT rifle. Maybe because it is considered more powerful?
So many times they said they fixed it but it appears everytime back. Same goes to the melee weapon or mortarman.

The pathfinding needs to be adjusted. It is just so stupid that you jump out of a window and your bots are trying to leave the house civilized by the door. Most of the time (Stalingrad, Berlin f.e.) they get gunned down immidiately.
They switch to the weapon with more damage and can be used against infantry

Engineer’s hammer must be insanely powerful vs infantry xD.
I think bot stay stuck in construction menu once they builded something, and only get out only wen a danger come near them forcing the weapon switch
