AI commanders priorities

All they need to do is build rallies and put bodies on capture zone, both on offense and defense. They shouldn’t use vehicles except maybe APC, they shouldn’t take specialized squads (just give them full rifle squads with 2 engineers in it), and their ticket drains should be reduced compared to human commanders so that they don’t needlessly drain tickets when the defenders have a designated fatal funnel until it’s cleared by human commanders.

I agree with most of what you are saying, but I don’t think devs care enough or smart enough to implement these changes considering how many bugs are still in the game and balancing issues.

Additionally, where to place the rally points make a huge difference in the outcome of the game. I don’t think devs are skilled enough to find the perfect balance between too good of a rally or too bad of a rally position.

At this point I’ll take even the most random placement as long as it’s not absurdly bad position

AI commanders are quite useful and do already many things. not to mention, a major component of this game ( even more useful for and if when PVEs will be a thing ).

AI already place rally points, medkits and ammo boxes. something that 60% of the playerbase still to this day doesn’t.

them being able to use vehicle is also useful.
because they provide tank cover whenever players don’t actually do it ( for those rare matches ).

if anything, the only issue with AI, are their behavior.
and, their squad composition since most of them have just lowest count of soldiers available inside each specialization squads.

Medkits maybe, but I rarely seen AI built ammo box/rallies.

AI on the attacking team, that’s true.

they don’t build ammo boxes.

but defender AI Do.
