Been looking closely at the portrait in the post about Steam (paid) release…
Poor guy is truly cross eyed.
Specifically suffering from exotropia which is a form of strabismus

It is a spectacular attention to detail, to add duch a rare physiological disorder!

Have the artists ever thought about drawing a Marine portrait?
I knew it was painted by an artist.
DF’s artist’s work has a hand-drawn flavor.
We must show respect for human work.

Oh no.
Again someone complains about the soldier’s eyes in the portraits. This time, however, it’s not the patriotic Chinese people, but our Joe.
Kinda surprising.
Mostly made fun of it more than being offended, thought
Ai or not, poor Chap DOES have cross eyes
I find it funny. In my usual Joe fashion.

I would enjoy a german pioneer portrait
yeah i had the same impression of:
this is totally ai.
the eyes, and the thompson wooden handle seemed very sketched.
but as i consulted my friend that knows more about AI than i do, stated that,
usually AI struggles with weapons ( and it’s actually a thompson rather than some scrumbled weapon )
as well as facial details and generally details within the helmet and the headgear props:

even if you go in depth with promps and stuff it still won’t give you the exact same result as the one above.
so, it’s a bit sad that the world is kinda in shackles and AI have paluded Art making everyone question everything.
but it’s good to remind the position.
AI is not art.
it’s great and cool in it’s own things if refined, but shouldn’t be more than a tool. nor results.

Is not AI art because It have to much detail, usually AI dont care of small detail or make them upside down, also eyes and finger are the most hard thing to do in a draw of any kind and AI usually make them ugly especially the hand
I wouldn’t be do sure.
Nowadays, many artists make outlines, a draft if you will, and then use ai to “finish” the piece, by smoothing lines, adding colour, shaders, etc.
In the end they will say “nono, it’s not ai, I’m behind this” but the ai did 80% of the work.
It’s becoming difficult to tell in all honesty
This is a complete departure from the topic of games, but I have mixed feelings about AI as my day job is in the art field (I am an editor of a porn magazine).
As much has been said on social networking sites and in the art scene, the current “art generation” by AI is to cut and paste collages of artwork created by human artists. Stealing art is obviously problematic.
On the other hand, there is a lot of debate about whether there is a problem with incorporating AI into art, but I think it should be generally accepted.
To begin with, the expression “AI” in the modern sense of the word is an exaggeration. It is merely advanced programming. (There was a time when programs that are now obsolete and obsolete were called AI in the past, for example, my electronic jar says it has AI, but it is just a program that cooks rice at a pre-set time and cooks it to the optimum tenderness, without the ability to think.)
And we already have programming and computers helping us with a lot of our work.
The tool I use in my work automatically mosaics human genitalia when a photo is loaded. (A penis that is too large or too small may be missed by the computer.)
Photoshop’s drawing function uses programming to compensate for camera shake, and the operating system is a collection of sophisticated programs to begin with.
I wonder how much difference there is between having an AI correct and crimp an artist’s line art, for example, and Photoshop’s correction function.
Using existing generative AI to produce an inexhaustible number of “collages” is not art, but rather an act of dumbing down and devaluing art (well, there are styles of contemporary art, such as Andy Warhol’s).
But,If, hypothetically, Darkflow artists used AI, I would not blame them.
Depending on his art style, it might make him work faster and make his life better. As long as you don’t steal other people’s art, it’s generally not a problem.
As long as the final product reflects the artist’s own will, I don’t see a problem with it.
Well, I for one am glad that so far they are using a style that does not use AI.
Occasionally the soldier’s face expresses cubism, but that is also a taste. It is evidence that the artists are sweating and I think it is a lovely art form.
