entirely forgot that even soviet rifles has higher base dmg without any logical reason.

To compensate, they are reloaded much… muuuuch slower and also cycle between rounds slower than their German counterparts… Wich is something I cannot really explain, I don’t think there’s logic here, but at least it’s not unbalanced

I’d be very happy if they introduced a ramifications tree progression. Because sidegrades are nice and won’t overwhelm newcomers more.

In fact, this is realistic. The bolt on the Mosin is famously sticky and crude compared to the Mauser action, which is considered by many to be the best bolt design ever adopted!
Additionally, the stripper clips on the Mosin were rubbish, with cartridges often getting stuck while trying to push them down. It was so bad that many soldiers preferred to load cartridges one at a time, even if they had strippers available.
I haven’t checked in game (I don’t trust the stat pages), but if the Mosin actually reloads at the same speed as the Kar, I’d actually propose slowing it down to better reflect reality.

Easiy dealt with by 2 x P4’s and the 50mm P3… clearly not any sort of Rusdsian bias in that one…
Mosin is 49-52 rpm, kar98 is 60-66 - both at 1-star.
While the Mauser did have the best bolt design I’ve never heard that the Mosin was particularly troublesome in any way.
And of course from the British “mad minute” we know that soldier training was much more important than any marginal advantages in the weapon anyway - something that Enlisted also doesn’t really do unles you get the perk for firing BA rifles faster.
If I read it correctly they will do this after all 40 campaign levels are available.

No offense, but if you haven’t heard about the troubles with the Mosin’s bolt, then you simply haven’t put any effort into finding out.
To quote a famous review from TFB: “working the bolt feels like dragging a grand piano across a gravel beach, and the trigger feels the same.”
You’ll find many reviews of the rifle which voice a similar sentiment.
Much easier finding articles that say that complaints about it having a sticky bolt are rubbish - did a google search “mosin bad bolt design” - everything on the front page says ther’s no such problem.
Did you actually go ahead and read any of those links? The sentiment essentially boils down to:
‘Yeah it’s not smooth like a Mauser, and you have to slap it into place every now and then, but it still functions and does the job it was intended for, so rifle is fine.’
Note that I never claimed the rifle doesn’t work, but the fact that it’s bolt is slower to work than a Mauser’s is undisputable. There’s a reason the Mauser action has become the standard for essentially every modern bolt action rifle design.
I read about 6 of them - and in the game the rifle has a significantly lower rate of fire - did you look at the game stats at all before saying that it should have a slower rate of fire??
What you actualy quoted was:

My comment was about slowing down the RELOAD, due to the IRL stripper clips being troublesome, in part due to the rimmed 54R cartridge.
And I stand by TFB’d statement. It’s obviously being hyperbolic for comedic effect, but the Mosin’s bolt is slower in large part BECAUSE of how clingy it is.
So not a significant differency but differency anyway.
In extreme cold moist nuggets had issues with bolt which cant be alone blamed on bolt design.
Gun grease & Oil and poor maintenance were the biggest issues. It was best to not use any lubricant at all or little as possible paraffin oil.
Triggers of moist nuggets were fairly bad which is why they were replaced on finnish M-28 / M-39 rifles which were just modified moist nuggets.
IMO a 20% difference is plenty significant.
Yes thats about 1s differency in how fast you shoot 5 bullets.
Definitely a massively significant in bolt-action rifle.
