I dont know if this was mentioned before or not, but…
Both 8th Panzer Battalion (squad from Berlin) and 3rd Panzer Regiment (squad from Normandy) can equipp Tiger II H and Tiger II P - which means two Tigers II for a single player.
A skilled player will deal with both of them, but a someone new ?

And what problems did you have with the grey-zone Tiger II P / H ? 
Might be tough for the yank ground forces (ATM), But Soviets will just panzerfaust their ass and move on.
Tiger 2p is pretty easy, you just shoot the turret which is something pretty heavily ingrained into someone from other games, tanks turret = weak
As for the H, Soviets will have IS-2 and Panzerfaust, Americans will have bombs
And new players won’t really fight either much considering they are tier IV and V tanks

A new player will have to grind up to at least Tier III before they even have to think about one.

Huh? Well that is going to lead to some high Teir shenanigans
no they will have access to them after merge. so you can have two tiger 2 h armed squads in the roster and 3 Sherman jumbos from screen shots i seen

like everyone always said if they are grey zoning bomb them to hell but me? i cant bomb for the life of me
Someone new won’t be able to play BR3-5 matches unless he opens up his wallet or get lucky with a gold order weapon through login rewards and equip it like idiot without reading it’s a BR4/5 weapon. Usually new players don’t care about events or grinding battle passes so they won’t get BR3-5 weapons/squads/vehicles that easily.
So I’ll be able to go with two King Tigers and a Jagdpanther.
Not like it matters anyways
Same way as of today, rely on people who know what they are doing and hopefully learn from them.
