It might be an idea that after you finish the tech trees, you should be able to use unused research points that you keep accumulating to be able to buy things. Say a premium squad on the bottom of every tech tree…maybe 1,000,000 research points is worth 1,000 gold for the premium squads? Or a place to buy old event weapon and SQUADS At very least a loot box to get a miniscule chance of getting something good, a little hope goes a long way. The research point to silver ratio is brutal…you could even fix thatyou could even convert all of the extra BP points once you pass marshall at 200. The extra BP levels you get after finishing the BP are weak and if you pay for a BP there should be added incentive or there isn’t really a point of playin after you finish the BP until the next event or BP comes out.
Also, I know the need to keep the game authentic but the appearance orders are a waste of time. At least and somethihg period accurate like shirt emblems, or facial hair, or arm bands, face paint for camo, anything then the same stuff that is available.
It really would go along way for people who have finished tech trees and levelling up the squads or there isn’t much incentive to keep playing. Players are needed as I am getting thrown into a lot of matches that are already underway or wait over 2 minutes to find a game with the Japanese faction.
You can already exchange research points for silver.
Thank you for your post.
Very good point.
I think this is a good idea.
My squadmate has also rightly mentioned how we have all this silver and it does nothing. Sure if you’re buying knick knacks here and there or if you upgrade all your soldiers (as in buying a bunch of BR V weapons for instance).
But in most cases its just sitting there. Therefore, we suggested that 10,000 silver for instance should equal 1 gold coin, Or 10 or whatever, we can debate what would be reasonable amounts.
Your point also in my opinion raises the argument of more factions and more maps.
The Enlisted playerbase is getting smaller by the day, with people turned away for a number of reasons.
Players like you and me have finished or almost finished factions and want something new.
For myself it’s not simply a matter of Oh I’ve grinded this faction, it’s the variety. Like Im still grinding Axis but my end goal isnt to run around at BR V for all factions.
What myself and I believe many others want is something new to do, like France-Poland-Netherlands-Belgium faction for instance.
Now I’m not saying we should have infinite factions I would emphasise that.
I would only add FR-PO-BENE as a new faction and split USA-UK and Germany-Italy.
Separate UK-Commonwealth and Italy + Other Axis Nations would allow for more content to grind and keep the game interesting.
There’s plenty more to add and remember that more tech trees means more premium content for DarkFlow to sell.
Within these trees we need sub factions again to keep things fresh. For example you could grind the Italian tech tree, but as a part of that you could choose to specialise as a Hungarian, Romanian or Slovakian for example.
New and unique uniforms and new and unique tech.
Japan could have Thailand as a sub faction and eventually some Franco-Thai war maps.
People forget that this is a long term plan as well, for myself Id plan down the track to add Greece as a sub faction within UK-Commonwealth, with Greek maps. Likewise for Yugoslavia and Norway.
Ultimately we can argue over what should be a faction what should be a sub faction, do we split trees, yadadada, the fact remains that this game is going stale and sticking with the same old same old for the next 5 years is just a guaranteed death wish for Enlisted.
I doubt you King-E-73@psn want to keep playing the same Japanese squads on the same generic Solomon Islands maps for 5 more years.
But the exchange rate is brutal. If you complete a battle and say earn 15,000 research points, you would also earn silver amounting to say 1500 yet if you convert that many research points you would get around 350 silver. Not a good exchange.
At least with silver you can deck out squads with all types of BR weapons so you could play all BRs. I hate the fact that you have to buy everything on a tech tree row in order to get the weapon or vehicle you want to play as let’s face it…not everything is good and unlike weapons, vehicles are expenive and you can’t sell the ones you don’t want.
I get it’s a free game and developers work hard but there isn’t a lot of incentive once you max out. I don’t even need to renew the premium account this year if the points can’t be used for something.
At least if they keep it fresh players like me buy premium and BPs. Now, premium squads are unlikely as they aren’t always worth the $$$ but developers still make some money off me, Ieven bought the current event BP because you could get the American Winchester actually for the American faction. If they made the rewards worth it people would buy it. Last Halloween event had 4 squads to get…this one not so much.
There’s no way around it. Players will get bored if there’s nothing new. Even the silver coin chests aren’t a long-term solution. Sooner or later, people will get tired of them. The only solution is to carry out some USEFUL updates REGULARLY.
But, is this even possible?
Sort of relevant but I also have a firm belief that premiums and events should be for ‘special’ things.
For instance Id love to have more Winchester 1907s but it is surprisingly OP and wasnt a standard weapon so makes sense as an event.
Whereas there’s so much content that should be in tech trees that is locked behind a paywall or only available in an event for a couple weeks 3 years ago.
Eg. Lewis gun as Soviet premium instead of Allies tech tree.
Universal Carrier as event squad instead of British option tech tree APC.
I also disagree with locking nationalities away behind premium/event.
Australia, New Zealand, France and China should be regular TT squads. And yes I know we have 1st Agas but one guerilla squad for Australia I dont agree with especially when you are prevented from sharing the Aussie uniform with other squads and they dont have any iconic Australian hats.
Now Morrocan Auxilaries for example are unique and I think make sense as a premium, but we should have regular tech tree French Army squads as well.
China especially is crazy because DF should have either not included them at all (to save seeing Chinese soldiers fighting Germans on D Day) OR better still actually invested in a proper Sino-Japanese War campaign with tech tree Chinese squads, be they in their own faction or as a sub faction of USA or USSR.
I apologise if Ive taken your post off topic.
As the gentleman said sorry sir I dont know how to copy your character, but yeah we need regular useful updates.
Now as youve said King, people like yourself will keep buying premium stuff anyway.
Its not as if new content means people wont buy premium that doesnt make sense.
Id repeat my argument that more factions/sub factions means more opportunities for premium content.
To use my country as an example we should have freely available Australian uniforms within the Allied tech tree so I can choose to make my machine gun squad Australians.
And then on top of that DF could have a unique Australian machine gun squad with the McCrudden Mk I Light Machine Gun which was a prototype that underwent various trials and while never implemented an example does exist.
(I was going to post a picture but the file type is not supported)
I will most likely never finish my tech tree’s. I’ve had the Allies, Germans and Soviets done quite a while ago, but really don’t enjoy playing with the Japanese, so, I have level two completed and just into level three. However, with only 130 games played, and only playing one Japanese game every few months, I don’t see it ever happening.
Now if Dark Force would allow people to use silver to buyout their tech tree’s, I would finish it since I really don’t have a ton of use for silver now days.
I totally agree…I cant believe there isn’t a Canadian squad since they were in it with the British since day one. Or even the unique squads like the Buffalo soldiers orTuskegee airmen, Navaho code talkers…even the Germans had special squads but I get not promoting some of those but they were part of WWII history. Lucky you getting the Aussie squad…I wish I could unlock it.
Then the exchange rate needs to be fixed to be more fair.
Exactly. Canada is the easiest to do, just write CANADA on a standard British uniform.
They were specifically at D Day and the Ardennes.
Ive always argued that the Ross rifle should have a Canadian squad.
Owen gun - Australian squad
and
Vickers-Berthier -British Indian squad.
Navaho code talkers as premium/event radio squad would be cool!
Exactly…or the:
Gurkha’s that fought with the British
The 23rd HQ special Ghost army
The Soviet SMERSH or Red Orchestra or SpetsnazGRU special forces
The Waffen SS or Sturmgruppe storm troopers
I just really want a new squad…and MAPS
