Advantages of reducing the amount of Bombers to 3

Right now the bombers level basicly half of the battlefield and it doesnt matter if a fighter shoots down 1 bomber (its rare that more than one gets shot down if at all)
I suggest reducing the amount of Bombers to 3 so with the ability to selct the angle of aproach in a certain arc.
A: its a more concentrated strike and doesnt affect the “whole map”
B: It has an actual impact when a fighter shoots down a bomber
C: With the ability to slect the attack angle you can pick your impact area more precisly wich will be neccesary because the carpet is smaller to begin with, Giving the player more Agency in his use of Bombers

Er no, they just need to fix damage models

I actually like that the air strikes cover half of the map, it accurately portrays the hell that is carpet bombing. If anything needs to be changed or fixed it’s the plane damage models. You shouldn’t need your entire 20mm supply to down a single plane, and it would essentially solve your issue by letting fighter plink off one or two planes before they arrive.

I prefer the solution once mentioned, where planes dont “respawn” if they have been shot down.

I love them when they arrive and the anti-aircraft alarms kick in, especially at the station with Russian propaganda in the background

A very good suggestion, it should also be dinamic in the way that fewer bomber planes, the faster the cooldown since, logically, fewer bombers at the (imaginary) airfield, less repair and resuply by each airplane

Also that it would be pretty disappointing that one bomber raid would need to wait the same time as if it was a full bomber raid, and to take in consideration it wouldn’t be much effective a reduction in time would be more than a compensation for the reduced effectiveness

A good addition is the AA tracer fire in the horizon

The problem is the damage drop off over distance the damage models are quite workable, but you have to get very close to deal damage. The damage drop off should be halfed for planes the would help alot.
