Advanced tutorial for beginners, PVE mode

Many people in this game don’t know basic tactics even after reaching level 20. For example, there are people who do not set up any rally points. Usually, it is better to have 2 or 3 rally points, but even if there is no rally point on the map, no one puts them up. And when I build a rally, people rush to it and fill the queue.
I think the fact that very few users gather information on their own leads to this kind of thing.

There are many things a beginner should know. It is better to make a rally point so that you can rush the CapturePoint quickly, sometimes it is better to go around and aim at the side or back of the CapturePoint than to attack the front of the CapturePoint, etc., etc., etc…

So, I think Darkflow should make a more extensive tutorial mode in the game that teaches these things. I understand that no one wants to play the tutorial. So Darkflow should make a reward for completing the tutorial. Maybe it could be a silver weapon ticket or some kind of machine gun. Something newbies would find attractive anyway.
Darkflow should also make some sort of PVE mode that is only available while the user rank or faction level is low. They need a place to test the tactics they have learned.
(I know you can play like PVE by using custom matches, but the XP is reduced and newbies don’t know about custom matches.)

It is very unhealthy to continue to have advanced players abusing beginners. Today I saw a Sd.Kfz.234/2 who repeatedly challenged my Sherman Jumbo head on. I was fine with how many times I was being shelled and he was getting blown up by one shot from us. I don’t think he enjoyed it. He might have thought I was a cheater.
Should I consider him a dumb beginner? No, sir. He didn’t know there was armor thickness and was just playing like Battlefield. You can’t blame him for not knowing the rules of the game.

This game is not new player friendly. Even if you get new players, most of them quit before they realize how fun the game is.
A business that can’t take care of new customers will die. Then the game will be taken away from those who have poured a lot of time and money into this game.
I think the entrance to the game should be improved.

The tanker tutorial does cover how armor thickness works a bit. Otherwise, don’t get me wrong, I agree with you. Unfortunately a lot of companies are against making additional tutorials within their games, as it costs time and resources to do so. Meanwhile, they usually expect people to check youtube and other sources.
THAT SAID, I don’t know what Darkflow’s thought on this topic is. They seem to listen to their playerbase more than the average company which I really appreciate.

I agree that rally points should be covered on a tutorial, but in addition I think some “common sense” fortifications also need a little explanation as there are still a lot of players (even veterans) that don’t make use of them. Good placements for barbwire, sandbags, hedgehogs, mines, etc. I know it seems like common sense, but some players need that extra help to understand the concept it would seem. Have them run through a PVE game without fortifications especially while on defense, then have them run it again with the tutorial explaining good placements as they go.
Huge difference.

I’m gonna say the magic words again : Hyperlink Menu Tutorial Videos

imo most of the players doesn’t care about it, they just wanna have couple of games and then never pick up the game again. Enlisted seems to have this one specific issue that players doesn’t want to dig for more.

In the case of console players, its rather annoying when it tries to take you to different apps when games link other things like this. Adding the videos into the game would be beneficial at least.

IMO I don’t think that’s really the case, at least for xbox. i’ve seen a lot of players coming in from games like battlefield and such that were very disappointed with 2042 and are looking for a game with elements of strategy. Most of the ones I’ve talked with say they wish there were better tutorials for engineers and tanks though, because they feel like they are doing something wrong. The reality however is that tanks are too easy for infantry to kill and engineer structures just don’t have the durability and the defensive capabilities they were expecting. (Hopefully that gets changed this season.)

you sure about that? when I want to become better at the game i search online for tips and stuff (and i find it as common thing to do?) I think forcing people to have really long tutorials which they doesn’t want is not the solution, or they should concentrate these guides more so that they can be played in 3 minutes and not any longer

but! as long as it wouldn’t be a must to get through these tutorials it would be fine i guess

Do I look like I care about consoles ? Different apps ? It’s just YouTube and most great tutorial videos are already there made by this community’s amazing CCs. Cut some of those up in short 2-3 minutes videos or have one of those CC do sets of such and hyperlink them in a menu window with back and foward clickable browsing just like the event/custom matches tab and that’s freaking it.

my basic principle of gameplay:

if we’re defending - build a rally point
if we’re attacking - build a rally point if the team is struggling

Players who are willing to learn from the video from the beginning will not need a tutorial. What I think is needed is a tutorial for those who are not willing to learn on their own.
Yes, those people don’t play tutorials in the first place, and they may even quit the game after a few plays if they find it uninteresting.
But I think a tutorial that is completed within the game and rewards for completing the tutorial will attract the ten percent or so of players who would otherwise leave without the will to learn. And they stay in the game and become good players.
That is my point.
