Adjust Weapon Lines

Since the merge & with the introduction of the T20 for USA & AS-44 for USSR the Federov Avtomat (FA) & M2 Carbine (M2) are in a strange place & out of line with the natural line progression for their respective countries. I suggest for USSR to move the FA into the rifleman/engineer/radioman (RER) line & place it after the AVT-40. This would be fitting as the RER line consists of full size cartridge lines i.e., 6.5x50mm to 8x57mm with the FA sitting perfectly at 6.5mm & the larger mag 25 rounds vs T-20 & FG at 20 rounds being off set by having already slightly lower base damage resulting in a relatively similar weapon that belongs in the RER line.

On the subject of the M2 I suggest to move the M2 into the assaulter line & place it after the Thompson 50. This would be more fitting as all of the assaulter lines that start with pistol caliber SMGs & then culminate into intermediate caliber “assault rifles” ranging from 7.62x33mm to 8x33mm & with the M2 sitting right at 7.62x33mm, having a 30 round mag just like STG-44 & AS-44. Additionally, while it might have a higher rate of fire than the STG-44 & AS-44 this is balanced by having a lower base damage resulting in a relatively similar weapon that belongs in the assaulter line.

No joke I thought it might not be bad if they added br 6 to the list moving the stg 44 sniper variant, fg42 and sniper variant up tiger 2’s up. Is-2’s moved up as 44 and maxim. That kind of thing.

No. Why not make another pps and ppsh for br6 for assaulters and engineers (rather drum or stick mag)

Us have another bar a1 and a2 for engineers and mg gunners (at br6)

And Germany can have their stgs and mkb’s as assaulters and engineer guns too

All obviously added to br6, rather for their og class and engineers or make them available for riflemen at br6 and keep br5 and 6 in a different mm bracket

I used to think that as well before the T20 came to the tech tree, but after using the T20 I find the M2 rather tame. :joy: However, It would be nice if the M2 could be used by assaulters as well. I would still arm my assaulters with Thompson’s, but it would be nice to have the option. Just like it would be nice if DF found it in their ultimate wisdom (which isn’t saying much) to let EVERY faction have interchangeable weapons with their Paratroopers…LIKE THE SOVIETS DO!!! Don’t get me wrong, I love it that I can use my Soviet Paratroopers in every level, but it seems rather doubious that they are the ONLY faction that can do that. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

See i think the t20 is easier to use and is my go to.

Every faction has low and high tier paras. It’s really not a big deal not being able to switch guns out. If anything the jap low tier paras got kinda screwed with guns but everything else has good guns for the tiers

I use both, but I use the T20 the most. It would be nice if you could equip your assaulters with the M2 though along with the Thompson.,

Well if they move the M2 to the assaulter line you could take both.

Tbh i’d still rather be able to make 9 man assaulter squads with M2’s than for the m2 to be reclassified as an assaulter weapon.
