so tell me why you should try so hard and give figures from the documents if the AVT is not a type 2, it still exists and even shoots, here are some videos of AVT 40 shooting (no one has a 15-round magazine, which is why everyone takes very short bursts, but in general it looks like 700-750 shots per minute, if you want, you can calculate the exact number by frame)

it is perfectly fine to buff it to 750… that way maximum would be 830 just like fg42… that way some soviet mains will be extremely happy…

- The barrel life is 6000 rounds when firing 50 rounds per minute, after which the rifle was allowed to cool. Continuous fire brings the life down to 150-200 rounds.
so maybe avt40 needs to be limited to 50 rpm?
btw it is funny how shit avt40 was in actual real life…
Conclusions on the proving ground trials of 7.62 mm automatic rifles, converted from semi-automatic rifles, with 10-15 round magazines showed that:
- Groups at 100 meters when firing in bursts increase by 3-3.5 times.
At 300 meters, only 25-30% of the bullets strike a 3×3 meter target.
At 500 meters, up to 30% of the bullets strike a 3.5-4 meter target.- While shooting with a 15 round magazine, grouping gets worse, and it is difficult to fire while prone due to the protruding magazine.
When shooting at targets, only the first bullet hits.- The ability to aim is limited to 50 shots over the span of one minute. After that, the barrel overheats, and a mirage effect is achieved, which impedes aiming.
- The automatic rifle jams:
With thick grease: 2-4% of the time
With dry parts: 12-14%
In dusty conditions: 14-50%

The automatic fire was largely uncontrollable, and the rifles often suffered breakages under the increased strain. Documents discovered after the war indicated that during testing, under continuous automatic fire, an AVT-40’s barrel would be “shot out”, meaning the rifling in the barrel would be completely worn down, in as little as 200-250 rounds. The use of the AVT’s automatic fire mode was subsequently prohibited, and production of the rifle was relatively brief; none were made after the summer of 1943.

The MG-42 barrel won’t hold up to 50 rounds in a row. lol. Although it’s a thick machine gun barrel. You’re talking about a regular rifle barrel. 200 shots after continuous fire is quite a decent result.
- Sustained Fire Limitations:
A good crew could fire about 250 rounds in 12.5 seconds before needing a barrel change, according to Warfare History Network. Some sources suggest changing barrels after every 150-250 rounds.
