The TNT mine has the potential to be good in the Pacific campaign, but is currently lacking in its usefulness.
The main change I would like to see is an option for all members of a squad that have TNT equipped, have an ALT fire button when holding the detonator for it. Using this will trigger ALL the TNT that the squad has placed, simultaneously.
This fixes the issues of:
- losing members and therefore their placed TNT
- having to switch between characters to detonate each piece
- gives a lot more potential power to setting up traps to thin out enemy numbers
The primary fire option would still be available to detonate just the one, as it is now.

That and just map design.
The reason I wanted TNT like it is now to be added to begin with is because Normandy beach has those massive concrete walls you can blow holes in with it.
Letting players use TNT to open new avenues of attack is a neat underused feature.

Just to make sure we are on the same page, I am referring to TNT, the mine that you can get in Pacific and Stalingrad.
NOT explosive packs, from the GRENADE category.
I do use them to clear the wooden barricades in Pacific, but not crazy often.
yes, part of the reason TNT as a mine was added was so that you can do demolition without wasting a det pack.

Ah, I was not aware of that. Thank you for enlightening me. I figured it was meant more for ambushes.
I agree, some additional map design to make use of it would be nice.
OR
At the very least remove the ability of non-engineers to deconstruct Enemy fortifications.
Let’s think about that for a moment. If they are attacking, they shouldn’t have need of AP or AT mines, forcing them to use explosive packs for ranged or TNT for up close, would make an optimal balance.
