Addressing the CAS Spam problem

Infantry and tanks must support each other to capture points. This is a war game, all 3 armies support each others to capture points.

so I say again, if you want an infantry focussed game, go playing COD

no, the game is fine for me, just try to give solutions for all those who want nerfs instead learn how to play the game.

He is probably bad in WT with planes so he want to freely farm infantry with OP planes. No reason to arguing with him at this point

i said the infantry are not the game for supporting tanks i have not said the infantry dont support tanks

ill copy past an answer i gave on another thread:

bomb deaths, they dont bother me, i can live with it.

but.

  • AA guns takes too much time to Build (i dont even build them anymore, they are worthless)
  • AA guns transverse speed is too slow against the moving planes.
  • AA guns have litle to no Ammo in them (a solution would be more ammo but unability to aim at foot soldiers → less vertical sight.
  • AA gun power/damage output is too low comparing to the sponges with wings hp.
  • we cant, or have any means to stop a fresh spawned plane to bomb a target. its literaly impossible to kill a fresh spawn plane befor he reaches batlefield area and drop a bomb. even if it kills himself after.
  • we are unable to command a bot, to Man the AA gun and stay there shooting at any target that aproaches his sight.
  • no AA guns pre built on the maps.
  • again Prebuilt AA weapons could be set as default around the map, and have a group of bots commanding each one of them without control of a player. they would man the machines and fire them with any sort of accuracy. kinda like a mission on warthunder where ground bots try to defend themselfs.

we could Test:

  • Normal spawns shall be on a area behind friendly lines, not a 1 or 2 fixed point(s). after a player choosed to spawn on normal spawns, we would be placed on a random area around the friendly area always behind some sort of cover

  • way less HP on the planes.

  • After a plane death,they are avaiable after 6 spawns, rather than 3,

  • A player that bring more than 1 squad of planes, can only play with 1 per 6 spawns, limiting the usage of them on the batlefield, and when he use one, he have to fly it to avoid a death. right now i have 5 plane squads in berlin (as an example) 3 of them have any sort of bomb payload, i can simply spawn - bomb - die - repeat. And i do it from times to times.

  • Bots on defencive side maning pre-built AA guns on the maps and all match they look at the skys and defend them.(they cant be controled by Humans, and once death they are out.

Also:

  • Avoid capture zones on open fields
  • Avoid map design to have the same routes as familiar ones, and design maps that utilize the map usage more, to avoid choke points and common used routes, to avoid bombing runs as current. - Part of this comes from default spawn locations, that can be learned in 1 match.

Kinda like this idea. Or maybe we could just have random AA shell explosions in the air from time to time. Yes, it introduces a random factor, and yes, it opens another can of worms, like who do you credit with the kill. But in the interests of keeping the discussion going…

maybe I can teach you how to play this game as an infantry squad, since I have no problem with artillery, tanks and planes and I know how to adapt to the circumstances instead come to forums to cry for nerfs :thinking:

we dont need to credit the kill, as a current suicide credits the kill to no one, only a ticket loss on atacker side of an invasion or a squad usage loss on conquest (current limited to 10)

we could have them on any map of invasion right now.

also, none of the 88 Guns around the map can fire a single shot, bots (unable to be used or controled by human players) maning them as AA guns could do the trick.

You keep talking for “most people” most of time.

Where are those people, you are the only one here completely against any nerf to airplane/tank availability/spam even if it only LIMITS SUICIDE BOMBING as OP said.

What, we are here playing infantry for you to have targets or I really don’t understand?

But something has to be done, as no fighter will ever stop a suicide shallow dive bombing Ju188.

If you don’t suicide and survive, then you can bomb whole day for all I care.

The solving of this problem is much more simple and there is a mechanic for that already implemented.


You pick any vehicle squad >>> you die >>> all your vehicle squads are on cooldown for 3 ( 5, 10, 99999… ) minutes.

So now you have to pick vehicle squads carefully, cause if you lose your fighter then your enemy can pick bomber and play it until your fighter cooldown is over.


Simple and competitivable fix.

One thing I noticed is how many of you overvalue ability of all heavy AA guns against CAS planes.
They were not very usefully against low flying CAS aircraft but were used in masse against high flying bomber formations.
Only with the invention of proximity fuse (UK invented/US mass produced) did it achieve adequate results against CAS aircraft.

I would rather aim them at tanks if I could :pleading_face:

Dont think the repair costs would be good idea in any manner. It would limit the newplayers options quite a shit ton.

Reduce the bomb AOE / Reduce bombs
Give it a teamwide cooldown, once it crashed x minutes before anyone can spawn another in said team.

One thing that I really want, is the ability to equip at least one ground vehicle squad and one aircraft squad without premium. That way we could probably see a lot more fighters in the air. (And perhaps anti-aircraft vehicles could be implemented as well?)

Yeah they should remove the second vehicle squad from premium time and make it available for free for everyone. Cause now having a second vehicle slot with premium time is a P2W feature. Also before people start reeeing for saying that, i have premium time, but still i find it unfair for the F2P players and a P2W feature
