Long-term players form a core of the game player-base, as well as behavioral economics of having players log in regularly help success of the game.
Currently getting a small player icon no longer matters much as these are now handed out in many events;
A concrete reward like a ticket reimbursable for 1 extra slot in a country of choice would go a long way towards player gratitude, as well as help long term players enjoy some of the lower power event/old premium squads they would like to play but no longer can.
Additionally with increasing vehicle and aircraft variety small increases in squad selection go a long way towards enjoying the game.
I personaly have 10/9 slots in my lineups already purchased, but knowing that through a loyalty program I can get 1-2 more would further help incentivize my log ins; I presume others might feel similar.
I see this as a win win? Its far away enough that it should not matter towards squad slot purchases (only 1 per year per faction is quite insignificant), as well build player good will.
I really think there should be more squad slots even if they are restricted to squad type so players can’t spam a certain type the whole game. Without the campaigns it would make sense to give players more options of squads to bring to a match as we have no way of knowing the map we’ll be getting. For example, if you’re using BR3 US or Germany and get a Tunisia map you could use extra slots for squads of Brits with No1 Mk3s or Italians, squads you may not normally choose to use in other maps. I find the current system restrictive and end up hedging my bets and bringing the same squads again and again which gets a bit boring after a while. Hope that kinda made sense, bit tired
Mine doesn’t, don’t report this but I get extra days and still get the rewards.
If I leave for vacation for a week I can come back and my streak is still there. I am very grateful for this grace system.
Bad idea. There are some low-quality games without micro-transactions, they are advertised as “best WW II shooter” because they need idiots who will work as points (cannon fodder) for snipers / hackers / artillery (the same job which do bots in Enlisted).
But - when after some time a player realise that after all - this is just another dumb game for campers, he will not get any refund. He will not get his money and lost time back.
That is why games like Enlisted are a good choice for players. Everyone can download it, play and decide - will it like or not.
Microtransactions might seem bad, but - developers are also people (need money for living) and a high-quality game (Enlisted) deserve spending money on it.
There is always this weird fixation on campers I don’t get.
And most of the time, people can do research before buying the game. It is up to everyone’s responsibility to spend their money.
Yeah And most just straight leave. And while we can argue and speculate about the reasons, I am pretty sure the slow grind and economy for F2Ps isn’t a good argument to stay.
Having the “choice” is not enough.
They can’t even do bipods right (that even those so-called “low-quality” camping games managed to), so calling this game high-quality is a bit fetched. Let alone demanding 50 shekels for a MG squad.
It would be nice for sure, but there is already a bit of free gold in the bp, and letting people choose between 50-100 gold and gold orders in random drops is a bit cynical.
