Adding player maps into rotation

The editor has given players many tools to customize the game. So far, players have made many detailed and interesting maps that are only accessible in custom games. The community survey I recently created has proven that the addition of maps to the various campaign rotations is something a lot of players want. To improve this, the developers could look at some of the more polished community-made maps and further polish them so that they may be added to the main rotation.

I can understand that the devs may not want to do this due to some of their maps being based on real locations. These maps have been crafted for a realistic experience. However, I don’t every map has to be this way.

I am not saying that every community map should be eligible, very few if any probably meet the quality standards for the developers to be able to quickly polish and release them. But there may be some that have potential.

Can anyone think of an example of developers successfully adding player maps in other games?

Here is the community survey if you want to look at the support for more maps.

Here is another post about adding more maps that I thought was good.

Repeatedly asking for something is probably the best way to get them to do it

yup, just gonna be a year or two

Sounds like a great idea. Hope the devs turn a new leaf and actually listen to what the players want

That map had SOME merit in RO2 thought: Was the funniest to enjoy tank play. A nightmare for infantry yes, but for tank, so funny :stuck_out_tongue:
