I think they should add the T1E1 prototype and the M6A2E1 Heavy tank to the game. We have only two heavy tanks in the US Tech Tree, the M26 Pershing and the T26E1-1 Super Pershing.
The T1E1 prototype is a M6 heavy tank but with a 90mm gun and 37mm gun in the turret. Front Armor is 101mm, sides are 69mm, and rear is 44mm. 20 of these were made.
The M6A2E1 was a project to mount the turret from a prototype T29 onto a M6 hull. 105mm T531 was the main gun but no 37mm. The Front Armor is 140mm, sides are 60mm, and the rear is 41mm. The turret has the most armor, 229mm for the front, 89mm for the sides, and 208mm for the rear. The turret is pretty big and a very long gun. Only 2 were ever made
They are definitely heavy tanks, even if they are based on a medium tank model, they are so uparmoured that they can’t be considered anything else.
Though they are surprisingly light weight (38t) just for comparison the Panther is about 44t, but don’t be fooled, the design is merely lighter because the most crucial elements such as transmission and engine did not get stronger to handle the new weight which resulted in worse reliability than all big cats combined.
The M6 could fit in well, however the upgunned variants, idk if they have a strict need to be added. Saying that the M6A2E1 I think is a nice alternative to the super pershing at BR 5, since you have that bigger gun vs the better armour (in my opinion) of the super pershing.
I would like to see some of the old British Tech added back before the merge it can be foldered or as a sub area if have to it be nice seeing them again
Any other nation during WW2 would have classified the Panther as a heavy tank, but Germany used them in the medium tank role and the tank’s armour layout is closer to that of medium tanks.
