Since we already have paratroopers with access to roof and cliff tops, I don’t see why not to add buildable ladder and rope.
Not sure how difficult it is to code a reliable system like this but if we at least AI could climb those damned Stalingrad windows with it and not run around the whole building and attempt to enter from enemy’s side than it would already be worth it.

oddly harder to find ww2 soldiers using ladders in combat
and some more fun period ladders
