Adding BR0

Introduction

With the addition of fantasy Fedorov 1912 and Uragan, as well as Thompson and SIG 15cm to BR2, it has become much more difficult for BR1 to come against it.

The original idea of “bolt actions rule BR1-2” is no longer really true with everyone having semi-autos and very decent SMGs on BR2.

Certain beginner BR1 vehicles are completely useless and overshadowed by meta BR1 vehicles (e.g. T-70 > T-26/T-60, Pz III J1 > Pz II, etc.)

Suggestion

How about moving the non-meta BR1 stuff to BR0?

Possible benefits

  1. New players don’t have to see Uragan, Fedorov 1912, PPS-43, T-28E, Pz III N Stalingrad, Thompson in their first matches.

  2. Items that nobody uses can have a second life (e.g. BT-7, Pz II, MP-28).

  3. Bolt action enjoyers can have a BR0-1 queue without semi-autos.

All of it are arguments for ±0 MM.

Adding more BRs until we have ±0 MM is counterproductive.

I had this idea for a while, I would put the new BR between BR1 and BR2 and move somethings around.
But I eventually scrapped the idea since I doubt devs would bother to do this and many new things would need to be added.

anyway, here is the raw draft I planned.

My grand delusion (title)

Hello bajtársak and fellow forumdwellers!

Please hear me out!
I believe that we need a new BR between BR1 and BR2, for simplicity I will refer to this as BR1.5 to avoid any confusion.

Why BR1.5 is necessary:

BR1 and BR2 are always matched together, however BR2 has been continuously buffed in the past by adding more and more power creep SMGs, semi-auto rifles, tanks etc… Letting veterans bully new players is unacceptable.

BR1 and BR2 also have many weapons and vehicles but many of them are not used because players always strive to use meta equipment, thus breaking up the current meta is the most important goal so more equipment becomes viable.

just a note on the link: I wanted to add time fused rifle grenades to BR2, these work like normal grenades and can be thrown back, cant be cooked but can fired far away thanks to rifle launcher.
Most rifle grenades actually fired time fuse rather than impact (like Soviet mosin),
So impact GLs stay BR3, but others would be lowered to BR2 (or added).

I fully support this.

br 0 should also be applied to most br 5 players, people have no idea how to play and if you point out to them to build a respawn point of insults or you play for half an hour you almost won the game but suddenly they all get on the plane or on the tank or you open the map and see that they are all on vacation around the map and you lose the game and the upgrade points and they answer you with “gg” or with “relax it’s only a game” I won’t add anything else

sounds good at first, but with the snail´s current pace, it would take at least a year to add all of these weapons and vehicle balance would still be terrible (its already terrible anyway, but you get the point).

yes snail. :snail::snail:

They should also use blanks so they don’t hurt themselves, and knives with foam rubber tips so they don’t hurt themselves, and the tanks should use practice projectiles, and the planes should use simulated wooden bombs, hahaha.

Yes, this is the type of stuff I’m talking about.

Currently there’s quite a lot of instances where a weapon is a straight upgrade over its predecessor which becomes instantly not needed on BR1.

One day I would like to see MP-38 used as well.

it could be nerfed and dropped to BR1 anytime really.

Remove the stock from the model and give it worse recoil. Then put it in br 1. It would have higher capacity than beretta m38a but worse recoil

Just to make current BR1 smgs obsolete.

Lmao. You are acting like recoils are something very significant in this game.

It would make all other BR1 smgs just straight up obsolete. Just like M1A1 made all BR2 US smgs obsolete.

It’s actually fascinating how hard people try to lie to themselves just to justify powercreep.

Mp34(ö) and Mp3008 are essentially the same, but with 40 rpm less so thats not a big upgrade, especially if you consider that sten mk.II has even higher rpm and no one is complaining.
Other things like reload time, dispersion ect are easy to nerf.

Make their guns shoot out rallies instead of bullets.

br0 should be muskets only

Bro? What bro?

gg lol i wouldnt play br5 the people there are new half of the time because they bought a premium br5 squad and everything else is br1

Thank you for your post.

It is an interesting idea and I agree.

I really think there needs to be a battle situation for new players. We can yell noob at them if we wish but we were all new players once and it does take a while to get a hang of the game.

I also just really like bolt action gameplay. It’s a shame its ruined by BR II the moment everyone else has semi autos, Winchester 1895s and machine guns.

I also couldnt agree more with those who talk of redundant weapons like the MP38 or the first AT rifle for USSR and Germany.

Either remove them or give people the ‘best’ option first, idk. Yes, they are realistic, yes Germans used MP38s for example probably more than MP40s but in an FPS game like this they are just unnecessary bloat in my opinion.

The Uragan is a fun gun but we really didnt need it :frowning:

The PPDs are great as it is (or PPS?) Sorry I get them mixed up the all metal Soviet BR II SMGs.

In fact for myself Ive got fully upgraded PPS?’ and if I wanted an Uragan Id have to grind another whole stupid squad just to upgrade it so at the moment it is far more logical to stick with the fully upgraded PPS’ which are more powerful than a standard unupgraded Uragan.

yes, really embarrassing I’ve come to the conclusion that some people really like defeat, it’s fine if the opponents are strong and in a group and you lose that’s fine, but losing because you’re lazy really pisses you off
