Like the squads that you can’t get post-merge. Even old event squads. I think it’d be cool.

I’ve suggested this many times before, though I haven’t made a separate topic about it.
My opinion is that once a player unlocks, for example, a tech tree asaulter II sqaud, they get the opportunity to buy all previous legacy assaulter II sqauds of that faction. It works similarly with legacy tanks in WoT for example.
Not to mention that this one might open possibility to have added squads of other nationalities to the game. For example, so that for every German tech tree squad there would be an equivalent in the form of an Italian squad “in legacy format”, even when in reality those squads would new and not legacy.

Yes.
Because I don’t see how other players make do with BR presets, other than having multiple legacy squads like us.
I also remember the fools who sold them for bread crumbs thinking it was smart

Their upgrade are linked with the assaulter II squads, but they themselves are still assaulter I

I kinda like the idea of Tasks/Achievements to unlock them.
Like you have now “kill 20 tanks” and get some silver.
Except it would be like 200 tanks and unlock “#insert tank division”
Get some rare and sub faction units
“kill 500 soliders with Italian SMGS to unlock Italian Assault Division”
Warthunder you could get camo this way

Suggested something like this regarding old events quads (Desperately want paratroopers!) and gold order weapons. We definitely need this in game as of the steam release.

The reason for removing those squads was because of how complicated it is to navigate all those squads - which would be a real mess for new players.
That being said, if there would be a way to unlock those legacy squads through some sort of grindy task, players wouldn’t get overwhelmed by those squads because they get to unlock them step by step.

I’m sure that eventually old and past Premium and Event squads will come back. It’s just a loooooooong patient waiting game. I even want some of the ones that had base weapons like the Fallschirmjager Gewehr 41 or US Rangers simply because I like their customization/ novelty
I also want them to add all class squads to the British and Italians because they’re basically sub factions. Hey sometimes I just feel like having a British riflemen squad all armed with Lee Enfields

You can still fill them with Assaulter twos but yeah…
