In the custom mode, the function of using Tunisian radio squad to call smoke bombardment on other battle maps has been realized, so why not directly provide it to radio soldiers in other battles? Please provide it to other battles, especially the Battle of Normandy. The main equipment of the US military can only be used at close range, because their vision is too poor (Such as M2 carbine, Thompson submachine gun) , and the beach map of Normandy is extremely unfriendly to the US military (Especially Ver-sur-Mer, compared to D-day, it has fewer shelters and it is more difficult to put down the resurrection point.) .If smoke shelling is given, the US military can enter the bunker more easily instead of being strafed and killed by the enemy in the bunker on a beach lacking a cover.
In addition, please allow radio soldiers in other squads to call for smoke bombardment, because the number of members in the radio squad is too small, with only 5 people, and it is difficult to launch a powerful attack after calling for smoke bombardment. Calling one shelling per minute is already a powerful enough privilege, and there is no need to make smoke shelling their privilege.
I agree about giving smoke artillery to all campaigns, not only Tunesia (bayonets and shovels should be introduced for everyone too).
But I disagree with you when it comes to giving smoke barrage to every radioman no matter in which squad he is. It is supposed to be one of the mechanics that makes dedicated radio squad more usable in battle. As you pointed out, this squad is smaller than most other squads and doesnât provide enough firepower to actively storm The capture points. So if it doesnât have its unique abilities noone would choose it over for example MG squad.
The ability to call for one shelling per minute is strong enough, and it takes 4 minutes for the radio soldiers placed in other squads to call for a second shelling.
Agree with @32883447 . Also, having all radio operators giving smoke barrage would make all maps a continuous smoke spam. The radio operator squad needs some peculiarities.
Especially when attacker has more than one radio team, then defender is constantly under artillery barrage.
Almost no one in Tunisia uses smoke bombardment, perhaps largely because it is a radio class privilege. If every radio soldier can use it, then it has enough value. Engineers are the best auxiliary units in this game, because they have powerful functions and can support each squad battle well. So I bring an engineer with each team. Another reason is that no matter how many soldiers you have born, the invasion mode consumes 12 manpower. The maximum number of five people in the radio class is obviously too small, which is a bit of a loss.
well, i disagree here though.
because radio operator would be the only reason why you would you get them.
and still have to play the radio squad just to get upgrade.
plus, the radio squad is already " beneficted " by the shorter cooldowns.
and just like the enginner, they only thing they benefict is more.
in my opinion smokes should be much, much more available to everyone as not many people use them in the first place.

otherwise, yeah, every radio men should be able to call a smoke barrage ( wouldnât make much sense if they couldnât tbh ).
still, you have to play with the radio squad to gain the ability to ( upgrade research, and squad ranks. )
I agree with this.
Why its difficult to launch powerful attack? Personaly i only maximum of 5 men in every squad and if i can participate every capture and kill 200 enemis while doing so i consider those attack pretty âpowerfulâ
I really wonder how people can control more soldiers without them getting killed by grenades, bombs, tanks or even 1 human controlled soldier who just sprays allbots down in less then second.

After all smoke arty is so powerful it should definetly be radio squad only
again, you benefict from having more enginners and more radio operators.
itâs not that powerfull if the radio man dies and you canât replace it, or even use it. ( let alone the two minuts timer between each radio call EVEN if you spawned with a new radio operator )
smoke artilellery should be able to be used by every radio operator no matter their squad.
If everyone could have it, defenders would have it even harder.
For example, if every player will have radioman in squad you can smoke defenders position every 30 seconds, it can basically destroy any chance to spot enemy for defenders if they are on point.
It should only be available to Radio squad, as then you have to chosse good time for smoke and dont just mindlessly spam it with another players in your team and have easy attacks.
Just like everysquad. They get more âcoreâ members.
Engineers and radio squads just gain more options and if those are given to other squads radio squad will be pointless to bring in battle
By that logic no one can make powerful attack. When my assaulters in assaultsquad die and only engineer is left it isnt âpowerfulâ attack in my opinion
not really. a smoke barrage can be useful just like the frag one.
and does not provide you victory as itâs harder for you to see as well.
just like the enginners, ( although on the opposite ) would benefict more attackers than defences.
you still have to " get dirty " and get in the thick of it. from there, players ( just like without) will play the major role.
just think of it of a fortified district weather.

and as i said, engineers are much usable in defense weather the artillery operator more in offense.
if you limit what the artillery is going to be, they would just becomed pointless like itâs currently is.
we should buff those class in order to incetivize the usage. not make them useless more than they are.
( which again, makes no sense that you cannot call for smokes but artilleries barrages. )
which i would correct my self, but normal squads SHOULD have smoke barrage by default. itâs not like specialized enginners that requires ( although, i can see the counter argues which would be justified ) a different type of knowledge.

If everyone has it no one will use Radio squad. It is better for it to be available to only radio as it gives you incentive to use them. They have less troops but can be usefull as tactical asset.
I will rather see some diversity than just everyone using all theyr SMG squads, as it already is in some cases.

why should i use smokes with less soldiers ( and less class roles ) when i can simply use the normal artillery and cause a similar effect while gaining kills ( and weaken the defenders ) or even use the dirt effect as cover for that small ammount of time while killing some defenders and bring much more strenght well equipped after?
forcing people to use the specific squad for smokes, ainât gonna " involve " people to use it at all.
maybe one or two individuals, but that is all.

I will rather play Radio squad and have some fun, helping team, roleplay a little than go âjust for killsâ with better squad, but hey, thats just me.
Currently, there really isn´t much diversity. The only ones actively using radio squads are people who mass purchased active slots or those who are just levelling it up.
The âdiversityâ is limited to assaulters/gunners/HE artillery and engineers that are NOT in the engineer squad. There is almost no smoke barrage in matches (unless I call it because⌠I´m just levelling the squad up⌠after I swap to another squad, there will be no one to do so)

tactically speaking in enlisted, if you weaken your opponent while keeping strong equipment ( just like the mg squad, or the assaulter one ) i have more chances to kill and capture the point ( which itâs how you usually play this game. unless you are a weirdo looking for weaker tactics that i will not judge. but in terms of common sense and efficency, people will always go for the easier one )
sure, you can smoke your opponent. but you ainât gonna have that much firepower outside a few BAs perhaps semi auto rifles, and that is all.
again, if iâve have mg squads with the artillery, i can simply order my AI to go on the point, while i provide " supressive fire " and cut the reinforcement out that normally i wouldnât be able to see with smokes.

5 men against a squad of 7 with different and more squad class available in that squad.
You can still have MG and SMG guy in there and Semi-autos instead of BA for more firepower. I counquered lot of points with just Radio squad.
I just said my opinion that it should be in Radio squad only. I respect that you dont agree with me and i respect your opinion.
I dont really use some weaker tactics, but i dont really like exploiting some like when players exploited Bombs before nerfs, i didnt used planes (Except fighters to shot down enemy bombers) at that time because it was âeasy playâ and it was disgusting imo.
