P-47 D-25 equipped with three 500-ib bombs.
Belongs to the attack aircraft squadron.
I think three is a bit much, two might be better.
Sound like an overkill at BR3. Germany doesn’t have a single comparable plane at BR3 or even BR4. And Japan
Well, the Germans have a JU with 3 250kg bombs (BR3), but in terms of air combat capability the P47 is far superior. So my opinion is on the two bombs.
JU is much slower and flies like a brick. P47 would be able to bomb tanks and infantry and escape without any problem as it flies so fast. Even German BR2-3 fighters would have difficult time with catching up to him, and since they don’t have bombs most of the time nobody would spawn as them anyway.
I’d reckon that an earlier “razorback” P-47 variant should be used for the lower BR instead, would be more variety.
As you said, it may be more appropriate to carry two 500-pound bombs. They are at least more powerful than the AP-1.
Well, that’s why I’m against 3 bombs.
Its speed is only slightly faster than the P38 and Mustang.
If we give the P47 two 500lb bombs, it will be very comparable to the BF 110 F2. The BF has little slower speed, but in return has a 20mm cannon and a tail gunner, and the bombs are located directly under the cabin, making targeting easier.
They are not comparable The Stuka is a Dive Bomber and the BF 110 is a Heavy Fighter-Bomber
This would be comparable to the P-47
An FW 190 G-8
As a rival, that certainly feels right.
Specifically, would it be good to have one equipped with a 500 kg bomb? That’s also something I’m curious about.
I also said they are not comparable.
That’s why we have to give two bombs to the P47.
and we are not looking to give each faction exactly the same equipment, just as the US has no JU 188s.
