Add the New Guinea campaign!

I think later down the track when we get more than the four campaigns a good one would be the New Guinea campaign (January 1942-August 1945). This would be half urban combat scenarios and also some more rural and jungle areas. The teams would be the Australian Army (and maybe an American squad here and there.) vs the Empire of Japan, and there could be maps like the Kokoda Track, Port Moresby, etc… Enlisted could really do with a New Guinea campaign, and it isn’t a campaign covered in many games. A lot of the weaponry Australia used is in the game too ( Thompson, Bren, Lee Enfield.)

In my opinion the New Guinea Campaign should be the 5th campaign in enlisted.

With you on this one cobber. Good old hard Yakka was Kokoda fight. However, not sure if European or American players would be that interested when compared to their Campaigns. However, I hope they do a Campaign based on Stalingrad. Be a ripper!
See ya on the battlefield :upside_down_face:

Thats the problem, if you are someone who doesn’t know much of ww2 you probably would chose others like kursk or iwo jima before the guinea campaign, in terms of publicity it can’t be exploited as Berlin or Normandy or Stalingrad.

Still, if we get a pacific campaign i hope the Aussies get to be in some squads

Stalingrad and Kursk are a must, as both battles were deciding factors in the war’s outcome.

Stalingrad is definitely a must. You are right, not sure how many Americans or Europeans would play an Australian campaign, although the US did take part in New Guinea and there are some games who’ve done Australia well, but it’d be a reasonably played campaign because it is still the Pacific Theatre and let’s be honest - The Island Hopping campaign is a bit overused at this point.

yo my guy, do not worry, i am a Polish guy from Europe and i can tell you i would LOVE a Aussie vs Japan campaing, Jungles would basically shit on tanks meaning there is some opportunity for pure Infantry on Infrantry combat, not to mention the potential for traps and other cool enviornment mechanics

Would rather hope for a China or a South East Asia (eapecially Burma and Singapure) but New Guinea woud be interesting too.
At sone point I had enough Iwo Jimas, Wakes and Midways.

It’s going to be hard to balance a campaign featuring the Japanese. Their selection of available small arms will be quite small, with rifles being predominant.

The New Guinea front… a gruesome battle that brings to mind cannibalism in Japanese memories, but it will be a very hard core battle.
If such a campaign is implemented, I would like to see a Japanese unit called the “36th Independent Engineer Regiment” implemented. This is the unit to which the man in my icon belonged.

how would you add midway, since that’s only a naval battle when the game is focused on land combat

Crikey, you’re spot on about Infantry combat, much more fun so bugger the tanks and planes. Jungle fighting would bring another dimension to Enlisted. Fighting the fanatical but brave Japanese would be
a blast. Have another prawn on the Barbie and don’t forget the slab :yum:

Probably wouldn’t be too fun for the Japanese team, without some pretty major restrictions on the weapons the Allies can field.
