Bullets don’t have magical effect on the enemies they can only work when you hit their bodies or when you scare them of the consequences of peeking out. When someone knowns no fear you can’t do much about them but to shoot.
They can give you right attitude to get up and then get hit with reality once bullet hits them
Suppression could be an interesting mechanic. The point of suppression is lay down fire to pin down the enemy. In game suppression could lower accuracy and give you a dazed effect similar to when you stand next to a tank firing like concussion; decreasing the enemies ability to return fire.
When using automatic weapons I occasionally spray into bushes, buildings, etc to ward off potential enemies or get a lucky kill but the only enemy that fears bullets is you the player while our NPC companions eat bullets for breakfast so you’re not really pinning down the enemy. But if suppression can decrease player and NPC accuracy then it has more tactical use
He didn’t dodge them, he was wearing a stalinium vest which absord 13mm bullets like a sponge absorb water.
Thanks to bullet proof vest he had no fear of your bullets. (Headshots don’t work on him either, he wasn’t using it anyway).
