It’d be very nice if we could customize shells to finetune our playstyle, not to mention a variety of shells could not only be fun but also genuinely helpful. There’s a few tanks in the game that would benefit from such an addition.

Will most likely come - soon or later, not only because War Thunder has such a system, but because it would make alot more sense in enlisted.
Ok WT: Infantry Edition advocate
It doesnt make sense for tank on tank in WT beyond Tier I with HE shells. HE is great for infantry and cars. Thats all Enlisted is.
