It would be nice to be able to change 5 magazines with 2 bullets each to 1 magazine with 10 bullets.
Resupplying is not always possible so at least I want to have all my leftover ammo together.

Well your first issue is reloading half empty mags. I often just shoot off the remainder of a mag if it’s like 3 rounds left in a full auto or 2 rounds left in a semi auto. No point in saving them, having to reload the second I need to be returning fire may kill me, and loading my last mag and only having 2-4 bullets will almost certainly get me killed mid firefight. It’s just not worth saving those last couple bullets
It’s better to have 3 bullets than 0 bullets imo.
And I want to have those 3 bullets in one mag.
Of course you can resuply weapon, pick up one etc. but that’s not the point of the post.

I always liked the magazine tracker. It punishes you for constantly reloading and it broke my habit of it

Hmm. I suppose. Especially if it takes a hot minute (aka have an animation) to perform. Sacrificing time on the field for manually removing ammunition from one magazine and filling another

Yeah, I expect it would take like 5-10s to do.
Making it instant is stupid. (10s isn’t long either but the game is too fast for anything more.)

This is sooo needed.
Like hold R to reorganize mag, and it takes like couple of seconds and there’s the process circle as in extunuishing yourself or when building stuff.

Personally I love the semi realistic magazine tracker - when you start running out of ammo, loading those half empty mags gives a feeling of emergency.
