Please add an option to not play against squads, clans and grouped up people. It completely ruins team balance. Old games like counterstrike scrambled the teams to force good players to play against each other and not all join the same side.
I tried playing Berlin today (Europe) and unfortunately I had to desert 5 games in a row because the matchmaker put me against squads, premade, players that join together and dominate the game. Five games in a row that had the opposing team dominate the score board and capturing the point within the first two minutes. FIVE GAMES IN A ROW.
I deserted five steamrolls in a row that had 4 players playing together to stomp solo players. They shouldn’t be matched against solo players, it’s bizarre in a 10vs10 game.
I don’t think those symbols by player names mean what you think they mean. They are just a little flair option that can be unlocked, mainly by participating in the most recent event and being in the top 50 plus percent, which could be achieved by playing just a couple games. Unless you are referring to those players as a specific group that you saw repeatedly, which, if you did, would highlight one of the most important reasons why there is not a seperate group queue for this game. Quite simply, most of the queues do not consistently have enough players to fill lobbies, much less separated group soloqueue lobbies. Its a nasty side effect of having 4 seperate campaigns with two non interchangable sides each. If you pay attention, you’ll notice that the game often throws some amount of bots in, because there just aren’t enough people to ensure a timely queue and 10v10.
Mayby your opponents was experienced too? To steamroll enemy you dont need bring any pre made teams. especially when opposing team tryhards ragequit after first capture
Not to mention that when they first made the “All groups of any size get queued together” change, you got 12 man competitve teams hard core roasting all of the casual groups of 2-4 who were just wanting to drop with friends. It calmed down eventually, but going from facing a mix of small groups and solos to dealing with hard core coordinated guys running top tier meta stuff hurt.
does mechwarrior online have bots to fill up teams so that squads can play together? Enlisted is good in this way, people that want to play together can play against other squads and bots, but not solo players.
