The choice between only the US Army Officer saber, a Russian cavalry sword, a German officer sword, and a Katana (not so much so for the Katana) is a tad bland when looking at all the swords from each military in WW2. Here are some that could be added:
US Army 1913 “Patton” Sword
USMC M1859 NCO Sword
USMC Mameluke Sword
Luftwaffe Sword
Royal Naval M1847 Sword
Scottish Broad Sword
(Mad Jack Churchill)
Soviet General Pattern Sword 1940

So true, so true.
Do you know how the US Marine Corps ended up with a Mameluk sword in the first place? It’s an interesting story.
I did not know this sword existed until now. Definitely adding to the list.
