It would be nice to be able to add attack plans to the map. There can be arrows that players can place in the map to show the whole team where we should attack from or be able mark an area as a defendable spot.
We definitely need it. Most people on the team don’t know what “strategise” means, and it’s hard even for me to improvise during some matches (especially when there’s stacks on the opposite team).
Thank you for your post, I agree.
@sku111 Yep 100%.
In my opinion what we really need most though is a grid reference on the mini map.
For whatever reason when I suggested this before people screamed at me and hated me for it. Still dont know why they were so against the idea.
War Thunder, Hell Let Loose, various games AND real life ALL have grid references yet Enlisted doesnt.
Haters screamed that we can mark enemies but theyve clearly never played Enlisted. Because if they had, theyd know that marking often doesnt work.
The computer doesnt register and you can only place 2-3 marks at a time.
Heaven forbid try marking a tank. The computer will mark everything but the tank especially if it is slightly concealed by anything.
The only way to mark a tank in Enlisted in my experience is to run out in full view and lose a soldier doing so.
Only for that mark to disappear within 5 seconds.
The lack of grid references means Im saying to my squadmate “Over there!” “Where?” “Over there!” “On my mark” “What mark?” “THERE” “WHERE"S THERE?!”
WHY must we have this stupid system. Just add grid references for christs sake so I can say to my squadmate in the same room, or type in chat “Enemy tank at 6C” for example.
Remember with marks that because they disappear it is often far more helpful (especially for directing team artillery) to tell people the general area the tank is in rather than trying to exactly mark it.
This is also true when theres a bunch of enemies. You can spam marks but they just disappear and cancel each other out. 3 marks could mean 3 enemies or 13 enemies. “Lots of enemies at 3J” is far more helpful.
Ive also often argued with my squadmate on Pacific maps trying to tell him the enemies are on such and such an island and theres just complete breakdown in communication because often the island is too far away to mark properly and naturally “the island behind the point” is never specific enough when theres like 4 islands arguably behind the point.
So just for the love of god add grid references.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk but people were just so adamantly against the idea last time I thought Id better explain as much as possible.
I’m all for it. If you double tap the mark button, it does stay longer (30 seconds I think) on a tank, but it’s till not good enough. And the pin is only stationery, so it doesn’t work for moving objects.
A grid is definitely a better option, as it also allows for movement of the person, so we can assume that if someone was spotted in C3, they might be in C5 by the time we get to a vantage point or something. And it can give us a more specific area for rally hunting as well.
Win-win for all situations.
