my reasoning being that bots unlike players do not worry about dying, they both push and defend the objective letting people enjoy more stuff than meat grinding each other, with this simple change there will be more play styles that will come into play, players will be able to play passively and win as long as they will support their bots effectively. I knew from the start that after the merge games would become more passive, because players usually play passive.
I’ve had much more games in which in order to have some decent shooting I had to reach the boundaries of enemy grey zone because objectives were simply a ghost town and vice versa, I have been the only attacker reaching the objective because teammates didn’t want to push at all.
moreover players are often last man standing in their squads which is making things worse, there are times where I open the map only to find literally few friendly icons, bots on the other hand wouldn’t worry about dying with their last soldier and would simply respawn as soon as needed delivering this way more action to the battlefield.
I think my suggestion would simply help the battle flow, I guess players do not push unless the point being captured announcement comes up, with the difference that now I have to clear the point myself.
It would make games more decisive too, if you’re an attacker and you let your bots die quickly they will burn your tickets as well, so if it takes forever for you to take an upper hand position it’s down to you.
alternatively it could be a great ability for some class to bring more reserves aka cannon fodder when needed, most preferably I would want more players per match anyway, but this suggestion is only relevant if we can’t have this in first place.
