I’m thinking we may need to add a Loot Box costing around 1,000 to 5,000 silver coins, primarily containing old squads and weapons(they are completely different boxes that do not include special squads and weapons),. I’ve considered some benefits.
1.Balance the Experience for New and Veteran Players:
New players joining after the campaign merge lack many key squads, and even with numerous vehicles, they cannot deploy them due to missing squads. This gives veteran players a significant advantage. For example, veterans can cycle Panzer IV or Soviet KV/T-34 tanks at BR3, while new players are limited to a single tank. Old squads offer unique tactical value, putting new players at a disadvantage. Providing access to old squads via Loot Boxes can reduce this gap and decrease player churn.
2.Satisfy Old Players’ Demand for Reacquiring Squads, Enhancing Collection and Entertainment Value
Many veteran players, due to early resource shortages or unfamiliarity with game mechanics, sold valuable old squads for silver coins. Now, they wish to recollect these squads to build thematic “full faction lineups” (e.g., all-Italian or all-British squads) for immersive gameplay or historical reenactment . Adding Loot Boxes with old squads offers veteran players a remedy, allowing them to recollect cherished squads.
3.Adding Loot Boxes with old squads is a low-cost, short-term solution that quickly provides players with new goals, extending the game’s lifecycle.
Previously, similar suggestions were made, but some cited technical difficulties. Now, on Enlisted’s Chinese servers, Loot Boxes containing old squads and weapons have appeared. New players face significant disadvantages due to unobtainable items like the Soviet Breda Mod.30 machine gun and MP717r, among many squads. Meanwhile, some veteran players who sold squads for silver coins during shortages lack a way to repurchase them. History enthusiasts also seek more squads for immersive roleplay. For the developers, this provides a use for silver coins, offering players new goals after completing the tech tree, increasing retention. This is a near-win-win for all.
