Id like to see the gasmask in a different slot though (not automatically equipped) because looking at pictures of German ww2 flame troopers show that not all of them wore gasmasks.

Without a filter, it at least protects the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes from heat. And with a filter, it could protect the respiratory system from heat and smoke.

White phosphorus cant kill anyone after a nerf though
It would still burn exposed skin and deal damage
But you won’t inhale phosphorus and it won’t burn in your lungs.
Still would cause extreme pain and damage your soldier.
