Add Coca-Cola

There is one thing that is definitely missing from this World War II re-enactment game.
It is Coca-Cola.

By the time the United States entered World War II in December 1941, Coca-Cola was already established as a symbol of the American way of life. In countless letters home, soldiers serving abroad spoke of fighting for the little things, like an ice cold Coke, rather than politics or ideology. In a mutually beneficial edict, Coca-Cola Company president Robert W. Woodruff declared that any American in uniform could get a Coke for 5¢, regardless of the listed price or cost of production. For the men serving overseas, however, a soda fountain had become a foreign concept; foreign, that is, until 1943 when Gen. Dwight Eisenhower sought to make the soda available to his soldiers as close to the battle front as possible.

In an attempt to raise and maintain morale, Eisenhower sent an urgent telegram to the States requesting 3 million bottled Cokes to be shipped to North Africa—where at this time he was serving as Supreme Commander Allied Expeditionary Force—along with the equipment and supplies needed to wash, refill, bottle, and cap that same amount twice monthly without, of course, displacing necessary military cargo. Once approved by Army Chief of Staff George C. Marshall, the Coca-Cola Company was more than happy to comply with Eisenhower’s orders. Treated as a wartime necessity, the Coca-Cola bottling plants established near the front lines were allotted considerably larger sugar rations than the half-share allowed to the company for production of the beverages intended for civilian consumption in the States.

This game is by no means HA. However, it is still a shooter with a WW2 feel to it.
Then there is no reason not to add Coca-Cola to the US equipment.

What I propose is a Coke crate that can be equipped in the sub-weapon slot. This could be placed anywhere, like a medic’s first aid kit, and soldiers would get their Coca-Cola from here, with a 24-bottle supply available.

The Coca-Cola is equipped in the canteen slot and at any given moment the soldier drinks it and receives a buff to his stamina like the canteen.

In addition, the engineer should be able to install a Coca-Cola vending machine. Soldiers can obtain more Coca-Cola from here.

Note that this additional equipment should only be available in the US. Hans and Japs do not have one. And no one for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Hope the developer takes this proposal seriously.
And please work with Coca Cola and attach a coupon that earns 1000 Silver for every bottle of Coke purchased.

If this suggestion is difficult, by all means focus on solving the myriad of bugs that have been left unaddressed. If you can do that, then let’s forgive the lack of colas.

They’ll never put free advertising for a brand that isn’t paying them, we need knockoff cola

You basically just did a whole bunch of free advertising for nothing unless you’re actually being paid for this

This post is a joke right?

But Hans did have Fanta, it should have the same effect.
Ivans and Japs should have vodka and sake respectively, which effect would be a little wobbly screen and small damage immunity.
/j of course.

I meant this to be a SERIOUS SUGGESTION.
But the forum moderator changed this topic to Mess Room now.
Are you suggesting that we talk about Coke in the “Mess Room”? Because it’s Coke?

Okay.

I’m pretty sure they moved it here at this point because you’re doing free advertising for Coca-Cola

Okay, I just learned for the first time that Fanta is made in Germany.
Let’s allow Germans to drink it.
It is also ok for Russians to drink vodka. But I don’t think the Russians and Germans on the Eastern Front had access to such a plentiful drink. In Stalingrad, they even had a hard time finding food to eat.
And the Japanese are not HA to give sake because the naval sabotage prevented the army from supplying any ammunition and food in the Pacific and they were eating boiled papaya root. The only thing they are allowed is water.

You should really stop trying to do free advertising for these companies

No, this is not a Coke ad.
Coca-Cola was strategically placed in WW2, and it is puzzling that they would avoid only Coca-Cola to express the atomosphere of the time.
For example, the game features a Jeep®, the rights to which are now owned by Stellantis N.V. Harley-Davidson also appears, and perhaps the Sherman tank is a registered trademark of some company.
It is not known if Darkflow is paying Stellantis N.V. a royalty for the Jeep® design, well, probably not, but they are still trying to get the game launched on Steam. Then they should be able to get Coca-Cola to make an appearance.

Literally everyone loved Coke. Even the Krauts were upset they couldn’t get Coca-Cola and made Fanta. Coke even put some factories in the USSR during the Cold War
100% even if it’s just “a drink” to us now, back then it was a symbol of our culture and way of life

Probably didn’t hurt that there was cocaine in them things, but still it was incredibly popular across the planet
