A quick google search found they had virtually zero unique weapons and vehicles aside from some weak battleships. Most weapons/vehicles were purchased/given to them by USSR, USA, UK, were old German/Axis weapons (pre-WWII), or were Chinese made copies. Seems like a LOT of work to play with lesser versions of USSR/US/UK weapons in unknown battles/battlefields.

I stress less artillery strikes in succession and air bomb drop attacks and bring back the effectiveness of grenades to clear rooms. Most importantly give effective logistic supply targets to justify casualty concentrations in battle.

Personally I would have used nothing but bolt action rifle for china. But they will never be added anyway. I love ww2 Chinese uniforms.

France-Poland-Belgium-Netherlands is the one new faction I would add. (all those nations are in the one tech tree).

The only other specific faction would be China. However, as often mentioned China does not have much native tech. Personally I dont care about ‘copy paste’ but others do.

I have discussed elsewhere the idea of China as a sub faction for USA or USSR.

Based on those discussions China being a part of the USSR tech tree makes the most sense.

It has long been requested that the USSR and Japan be able to fight each other. Manchuria 1945 war some liked the idea, others were against it.

But China would be a great idea because Chinese maps would be very different and unique to the same boring Eastern Front (USSR) and generic islands (Japan) maps.

Mao Zedong’s army used USSR tech, while the Nationalists used a mixture of Sino-German cooperation era weapons and American purchases.
Adding these to the USSR tree would be okay since USSR already has some captured German weapons and they would be fighting the Japanese anyway.

Im happy for China to be in the game in some way, the only argument against as some have raised is politics.

  1. Issues with depicting the Nationalist army and Chiang Kai Shek due to the current PRC government.

  2. Ongoing strained relations between China and Japan due to Japan’s wartime legacy. (some idiot on here requested Unit 731 be added to the game…)

The ccp recognises the roc’s contributions to ww2 and war thunder has vehicles with roc flag on them so it shouldn’t be a problem

Well thats good. Its funny I thought a couple years back there was talk of adding China and then I heard that DF had said no because of political issues but apparently that was fake news.

Hopefully we see China eventually. Its certainly a big market.

At the moment Im still trying to get DF to give an Australian squad Australian hats… (not sure why this is a hard concept to grasp??)
