Add Chi Ha Kai to BR I/II Japan

Reasoning

The Chi Ha in all its variants was the most widely used tank in Japan (next to the Ha Go). I think it’s fitting to add it alongside the other tanks. The Japanese Tech Tree is lacking in general, and I think adding a much needed tank is a good place to start.

Unlike the other tanks present, it would feature either a 57mm or 47mm cannon. Both variants would be welcomed. The 57mm is better at Anti-Infantry (larger HE), while the 47mm is better at Anti-Tank (higher velocity and pen than 37mm). With the 47mm cannon, it would place it somewhere in-between the 37mm of the Ke Ni, and the 75mm of the Ho-I in terms of pen.

The 57mm would be a great early-on Anti-Infantry tank, however, would lack the penetration of the 47mm, making it closer to the 37mm in terms of pen.

Issue

The Chi Ha, especially the Chi Ha Kai, is quite similar to the premium Chi He. However, there are some differences to mark them apart. While they both share the same cannon, basically everything else is different.

The armour is less, the tank travels slower, the turret rotation is slower. The list goes on. Basically, it’s a more inferior Chi He (that’s the point, since the Chi He was a further upgrade). Plus, unlike the Chi He, it wouldn’t have the 2x XP booster that all Premium squads have.

Stop trying to make unique past event rewards to be put into TT.

Communism at its worst.

My mistake, I was unaware that it was an event award. It must’ve been before my time (Steam free release).

Well, at least they could add the 57 mm version

Okay, no worries then.

How about M2 Mortar
They rather ruin the event reward than adding 80MM mortar for US TT

*premium already
Yes, the most widely used japan medium tank is premium in this game

Well, I definitely wasn’t one suggesting it to be placed in TT.
I couldn’t care less about mortars. So that was other’s people battle.

But it’s true that I do not like it as a matter of principle.

I thought it was only the 47 mm. Are you the telling me all versions of Japan’s most used tank are premium?

Other than, of course, the 120mm that never saw action.

This thing should be in the TT the devs made a mistake not putting it just like the premium Chi-He one of those should have been in the TT while there is many tanks that are unique like:

Type 4 Ke-Nu BR I
ke hop

This is good events and premium tanks that are unique and the most used tanks should have been in TT Chi Ha is used a lot by Japan but instead being TT unlockable its some event and premium tank… Hope they give Japan at least :

Yep, but it’s too late.

I know I have it and I have the premium I have all Chi-He tanks but its strange to me that they are not in TT while we gonna put some papper tanks there since they put the real ones behind event and paywalls … its not a good game design.

To be honest, I think the Devs regret making some things premium. It’s evident in the latest update (tank that’s basically the premium) and lack of new content.

yeah with Japan there was plenty of premium options for BR I and BR II that people will pay money for instead of this they have put Chi-He …

wait for veteran boxes

not only that, the premium chi-ha is currently removed from the store, to promote FOMO.
so there is no way at all to get any chi-ha right now. and that is made in order to get you hyped to spend 70 bucks on something that should be given (imagine removing all shermans from the USA tree so you had to buy it in a small window of opportunity).
how can i put it lightly… the people that made design decisions for the pacific campaign were not in a smart mood.

Standard issue equipment shouldn’t be event or premium

Well you can buy overpriced chi he or A6M3 for 5000 gold they really need to adjust the prices on some less unique vehicles… their marketing for Japan is just terrible and for the Axis in general when I compare them with US and USSR really there is so many things i like and buy for Allies and USSR for Axis and Japan is hard to buy something.

I was about to agree with you fully, but then I remembered the state of Commonwealth premiums.

Matilda II, Mosquito and Firefly all too common and iconic (and latter to high BR), Turner SMLE is a Canadian weapon but the squad is US for no reason, they’ve made the only option for a Commonwealth BR 1 sniper rifle a premium and the Lewis isn’t even available for the Western Allies. :upside_down_face:

Yeah but at least the firefly is a good deal and the rest are pricy but still unique what is unique about the Chi He or A6M3 when you take Matilda it gives you unique vehicle totally different from what you can find in TT and the Firefly that I also think its good deal should have been free but still is on acceptable price specially on sale you get some gold you get unique vehicle good value for your money then I look at A6M3 and its basically a bit better Zero but its such a slight difference that you are not sure is that BR II or BR III vehicle while the Matilda really have a lot of armor for BR II and the Churchill for BR III even the Mosquito is good since is unique but such common world war 2 vehicles should have been in TT. But its possible to get Valentine and Cromwell maybe Comet for TT we shall see.
