We need japanese counterpart of hvar spam

either add drop tanks or add rockets (experimental, since you add ho- ri so i believe these rockets can also be addded)
Japanese Drop Tanks:

  • Type 99 Drop Tank:

    • The Type 99 drop tank was used to extend the range of Japanese aircraft. It was a common sight on aircraft like the Ki-43 and Ki-61, allowing them to operate longer distances for missions.
    • Configuration: Typically mounted under the wings or fuselage.
    • Capacity: Around 300 liters (79 gallons)
  1. Type 99 Rocket Pods:
  • While not as common, some Japanese aircraft were tested with rocket pods, though they were not widely used.
  • Configuration: Typically carried a small number of rockets for ground attack.

We did have drop tank on certain planes, but they are mediocre. Not suitable counter for HVAR spam.

I don’t really think it is enough to counter the HVAR.

For Japan to counter the HVAR, I think the best way is to add a plane with large payload like the Germany’s JU188.

heavy payload planes like ju 188 are flying coffin if enemies have planes

So what? Many players still use it. Many Cas plane can’t really counter fighter intercept anyway.

Japan has nothing nearly as good as American CAS, but one improvement would be to change the D4Y-1 to the D4Y-3 with 3x250kg bombs for wider coverage, or use the P1Y1 with 2 x 500kg bombs or the B7A2 with 1 x 800kg, or 1 x 250 and 4 x 60kg, or even 10 x 60kg - with added advantage of being fairly manoeuvrable and has 2 x 20mm cannon for Air-toAir.

Tbh their payload isn’t that impressive.
Maybe consider the Ki-49 with 4x 250kg or the H8K with 8x 250kg.

The game needs to stop insisting on dropping bombs that are single drop capable in pairs, its utterly stupid

Tons of planes come with 2x250kg in center mount… and they drop them literally glued together with zero dispersion even
So you are lugging all that extra weight for no gain and it drives me up a wall
