Add APCR to Soviet tank T-34/85, Su-85m and IS-1

After adding APCR shell to 76mm gun Sherman tanks. Adding APCR to Soviet tanks is reasonable. Because it’s fair and they all have the opportunity to confront BR5 German tanks.

Don’t forget we have T-34/85E premium squad

Soviet APCR is terrible…

17 pounder sub caliber has
275mm penetration with 38mm thick tungsten core weighing 1.74kg at 1204m/s

85mm sub Caliber has 27.95mm thick tungsten core weighing only 0.65kg because the penetrating core is super small and only has 1030m/s muzzle velocity.

Using 17 pdr as reference… the penetration calculator gives 85mm APCR only 151mm penetration at point blank range. The source claims 130mm @ 1000m penetration. It’s Feable performance.

The Chinese actually did make 85mm APDS rounds for their T-34-85’s but this was post war
The design itself is still 1st generation, same design as ww2 APDS rounds
It has 292mm @ 0m which would make it a slightly bit better APDS round than 17 pounder APDS.

85mm Type 1956 APDS
Projectile mass: 2.68kg
Projectile length: 182mm
Diameter: 50mm
Tungsten core length: 147mm
Tungsten core diameter: 35mm
Tungsten core mass: 1.75kg
Tungsten core material: Tungsten Carbide
Muzzle velocity: 1170m/s

Giving Soviets post war Chinese shells would be weird.

Giving Soviets post war MGs and jets is also weird, but here we are

Just because it has happened, we shouldnt accept it.
We must fight to keep our game WW2.

There is also this

I don’t really know why you are using a simulation

Enlisted tank ammunition are the same as War Thunder. T-34-85 could get its APCR.

My dear colleague, what does the 17 pound APDS have to do with the Soviet APCR? The comparison is totally unfair since the British APDS is better from any perspective, apart from using “calculators” and “simulators” it is not reliable because if it were, if it had the perforation it claims to have the APC would not have entered service since the Soviets were too “perfectionist” when it came to their tanks (that is why they discarded the T-34-85M and the 100 mm in the IS) it is unfair to compare a more modern ammunition like the Firefly APDS with the APCR of the ZiS-S-53 of the T-34-85 or that of the Sherman with the 76 mm M1. In addition, the APCR is already in War Thunder, only if it is added and I already know in War Thunder it is inefficient in Enlisted it will be worse.

I am not sure what you are saying…

I game the 17 pounder HAS access to APDS. Shermans with 76 M1 also have access to APCR. Even some 76mm soviet guns have APCR (like the KV-1 ZiS-5).

Even though I agree that the simulation are kinda irrelevant because Enlisted uses the same penetration values as War Thunder, giving a few APCR to the soviet 85mm could certainly be useful.
