Add AP ammo to AA guns

Sometimes I need to fire at enemy tank so AP ammo may be useful. Even just 2 (maybe 1) additional clips would be enough.
It’s basically equal to BR1 tank autocanon so it shouldn’t be very problematic.

I think that AA guns have limited ammo pool to prevent AA spam.
Im not saying that its an issue at the moment but I think it would be wise to be pre-emptive.
I think it would be cool if we could use AA guns against tanks, but in my opinion the engineer should switch the ammo type same way he can rearm the cannon.

AA guns are meant for AA, not AT

Oh no, 40 more rounds is such a hellish and brutal spam.

(I am not saying that’s your stance, I am just so annoyed by people presenting literally everything as being spammed)

There is a funny little thing called “OH SHIT A TANK!!!”

If you’re running into tanks while using an AA gun, then you’re building them in the wrong places

I can build AA:

  1. far away so I’m safe from enemy but also useless when there are no planes
  2. close to the enemy so I can shoot at ground targets if there are no planes

Imo 2nd option is generally better for everybody so lets improve it. It’s not like a BR1 gun with very limited ammo will dominate the game so I don’t see any downsides.

Yeah well, I think that spam fear is engraved into people because almost everything that is spammed will eventually get nerfed into the ground.

I think they should fix the damage of the German 20mm API-T and HEFI-T rounds.
As:

  1. The HEFI-T rounds dont one hit infantry (which itself is funny, all while the API-T does.)
  2. The API-T does abysmal damage to modules, while even the 7,92mm Pzb. does way more damage behind armor.

It is not even spammed and it’s literally just because of them.

Not exactly, many times during WW2 AA guns were employed to take out vehicles and other ground targets because the 20mm round had the explosive potential to destroy these targets. The German Flak 30/Flak 38, the Finnish 20 ITK 40 VTK, and the Italian Breda 20/65 just to name a few all used the 20mm round and all saw use as both ground support AA and AT during the war. They were also put into vehicles and used as main guns for tanks and strapped to the beds of trucks to make them mobile AA batteries. So, its use relative if it can be employed to destroy ground then it should have that capability in game.

Not to mention dedicated AT ammo such as Pzgr.40
Overall the (by the guns above used) 20x138mmB Rheinmetall was a dedicated and powerfull AT round.
Mady by Rheinmetall in the early 1930s for a new AT Rifle Contract (Beeing the S-18/100 and later S-18/1000)

Make the 72K actually useful please, you have only 7 rounds and im dying inside if a whole barriage doesnt wipe out a single Sdkfz251

Dont you know the most of them are dual purpose ?

Don’t you know I’m talking about the game itself? Nobody would build AT cannons in br1 if you had armor piercing 20mm shells. Keep the AA guns for AA and keep the AT guns for AT

Except for shooting at anyting with more than 40mm of armor. So like every BR2 tank.
