The way this game is structured heavily fragments the player base, which can seriously hurt the game’s longevity and match quality. I think adding an option for players to select several factions across the full list of 8, allowing themselves to be added to whatever game needed them to get a decent match could help at least somewhat mitigate this. Adding a decent xp bonus to help make it more appealing generally and to speed up the super slow progression you end up with if you split your time across several campaigns would hopefully encourage enough people to take the option for it to matter.

Do this, but don’t allow squads to join quick matches, that would be abusing the exp reward. People that play as squads are already guaranteed to win 99% of the games because they are facing solo and low level player while playing as a group of 4 high level players on the same team.
It is the dirty secret of this game that high level players unite into squads to roflstomp newbies and solo players.
Aka punish friends for playing together.

Funnily enough, I play in squad of 2 fairly often and no, it is not enough to win entire game or anywhere near that, silly. 
I´m all for this with no restrictions.
(EDIT: yes, there is mark in tab that informs you about groups, forgot about that. Funnily enough I always saw it marking my own team of 2 and nobody else tho so I wasn´t sure if it is visible publicly)

lol there’s secrets every where defenders get unlimited respawns so they dont have to worry about playing the objective
and premium players can have 4 vehicles spamming vehicles only

A simple small XP bonus for “join any team” would work wonders already.

Or mayby they should not allow deserters use that option at all. Desert 3 times in 24h perioid and its 24h ban for “multiple campaing/multiple faction”, do it again and its gone forever

Even league of legend is not that hard of deserters.
Pretty sure leaving that much in League gets you banned for a week.
Oh don’t worry league has plenty of issues with how its match making works to compensate, and it also has a vastly deeper playerbase to draw upon to make games happen, which means it can afford to seperate out groups, which it does do in ranked. But seriously, League keeps ranked matchmaking rating and normals mmr completely seperate, which means that players who ususally only play ranked get thrown into normals as if they were relatively new players, with the predictable result of them absolutely demolishing everyone. League doesn’t punish leavers harder because it has perfect matchmaking, it does it because regardless of matchmaking, leaving harms the experiance of everyone else in the match.
