Add an OPTION for solo players to get into games with ONLY other solo players

Personally, I don’t understand why people would choose to play this game by themselves, when the developers have done a pretty good job at making team based play work well together.

That said, there seems to be an abundance of solo players that deem the game “unfair” when they have to go up against pre-formed groups. So what I would like to suggest is perhaps a game setting (found in “options”) that makes it to where solo players will not be put into a game with pre-formed groups, either on their team, or against them.

This would be a completely OPTIONAL setting.

This would allow those players the option to play without teamwork affecting their games, and for teams with pre-formed groups to not have to deal with what may or may not appear as “toxic” players, as the solo players with that mind-set will have their own lobbies.

As an Xbox player, they have done a very poor job with team communication and the ability to network with other console players.

Console players are entirely limited to the “command wheel”, which is very basic and doesn’t even have an “affirmative”, “negative” option.
Neither do we have open chat, like PC players do.

And… we cannot use the scorecard to message other console players, as there is NO option to send them a message. (only a generic friend request that is only noticed by a TINY little icon from the soldier-loadout screen.)

In the past, we used to be able to use the scorecard to click on a person’s name (which opened a menu of options), and we could send the person a message.

This featured was removed.

NOW… the only way to initiate conversations with other players, is to manually search their name on Xbox, and then proceed to send a message.

As a bi-product, there is very little team communication in the game (unless you randomly send other players “friend requests”, in hopes they will join your party)

In my opinion, Enlisted has some of the WORST team communication that I have seen in an online game.

Games that are over a decade old (the original Halo 1+2, Call of Duty MW and MW2, and Battlefield), they ALL had very succesfull open mic communications, as well as the ability to send easy messages via the text screen.

Here we are in 2023, and all we have is a BASIC “command wheel”, as the only way to communicate with other players in a game that is 100% online, playing with other people…

What.The.Hell?

Also worth mentioning:

While playing Enlisted from Xbox, when you go to the “options” screen:
-There is a category for voice-chat
-Supposedly console players are able to use their mics. during a battle (without needing to be in a private party).
-Supposedly solo players can talk to each other, based off what is shown from the options screen.

-However, with voice-chat enabled for over a month now… I have NEVER once heard a single player using this feature.
-So it makes me wonder if this feature is broken?
-Or if it’s just an illusion to make people think the option is available?
-Or have I sincerely played for a month, and NOBODY as ever attempted to use their microphone while playing the game?

(None of what I have mentioned, is regarding private parties and friends who are playing together. I am only talking about the voice-chat feature available for solo players on the battlefield).

So first off: I play on Xbox as well.

  • Group finder exists
  • If I message someone from the “recent players” list a “gg”, it often opens up the line of communication that leads to us grouping up.
  • There are numerous groups you can jump in with.
  • The comms wheel is lacking a bit I can agree, but it gets the basic job done. Plus, it often spurs people to send a message after the game.

Point still being, If solo players wish to be in solo only lobbies, they should be able to. This makes them happy and also makes those that want teamwork happy as well.

yeah it is unfair to play against a 4 player premade, but I kinda like it, you can learn a lot from those matches, they are intense and push you to the limits, because it is always a premade of sweatlords, for me personally there is nothing more satisfying in enlisted than beating a premade with randoms in your team, feels so good man when your team actually plays smart and you can do stuff like go search enemy rallys and not just ran into the objective to defends one life after another

This mode is called PvE

that will help balace the matches, interesting that players are developing Teamwork and making a proof that teamwork and Tactics work well in enlisted.

cheers.

tbh i have more problem with crossplay on than with premade teams… console players on average just cant compete against pc players in fps.

but overall it is unrealistic situation cause you would need big playerbase for any MM to actually work.
