Heal is self explanatory I guess.
Tbh I’m not sure if it isn’t in game already, but I couldn’t heal my bots so I guess it’s not.
Giving ammo should work like in case of bots. Just one mag to keep the ally shooting.
I don’t know if it should consume your ammo though. It would be logical and would prevent abusing it, but at the same time would makes it kind of useless. So maybe no ammo consumption and a timer instead? Or a limit of one resuply per soldier?
Ally that need healing should have blood stains on him (just like now) and already healed ally should have a bandage on his arm / leg / whatever. Also a “request to be healed” in the quick chat would be nice.
If somebody runs out of ammo, he can already ask for it in the quick chat.
Maybe also if your AI dies, you can still “give an order” to be healed / get ammo but it will be changed into a quick chat message.
Both actions should be rewarded in xp.
I don’t know what buttons those options could be assigned to. T and F seem the most intuitive but at the same time will cause a lot of missclicks.
I don’t really see much use for healing. But ammo? Sure. TTK in Enlisted is extremely fast and kind of pointless trying to heal someone who can get smoked .8 seconds
But the TTK is so fast I just can’t see any reasonable amount players making use of it. I’m also fine with the current system as it ensures people can’t cheese healing.
But why?
You could easily be killed going to an Ally if they are knocked, not worth it, they should heal themselves or switch to another squad member. Same with ammo.
Watch out for number 1, be aggressive, play the objective and re-spawn as needed……unless you are a tanker camping….no ammo for you you lazy farmer.
I got this idea during a match. We tried to assault Monastery as Axis and we weren’t doing great. Me and one dude with sniper rifle managed to get behind a building next to the objective, one rush and we are in. Problem was that our bots were dead, I had only one mag left and this dude seemed to also be low on ammo.
If I could get one mag more, I could have lasted a few seconds longer on the point.
I always build ammo boxes and according to after action report it gets usually used once at best (there are rare occasions that it is used more but on average it is close to zero). Bots have unlimited ammo, player can request ammo from bots, player can pick up weapons, player need ammo only if they survive long enough and is without squad so I don’t really see reason for that.
